Great stay in a lovely room. We booked a private dinining dinner and unfortunately the service wasn't great - they seemed understaffed. The food was good. Room was great, beautiful setting with river frontage and otherwise lovely stay

Great hotel by the banks of the river Dee. Beautiful views of woodland and river, with lovely riverside walk. Hotel v comfortable but maintains historical features.

Beautiful property. Excellent grounds and views. Only criticism is that there were no phone charging points in the room, although I had taken my own, just in case

Helpful staff, large room, beautiful riverside location within walking distance of town centre. Comfortable bed (although the duvet was too warm - I find this in every hotel I stay in!).

lovely location, room was small but well decorated and clean, very comfy bed and pillows and good shower. Room was very warm even with windows open and unfortunately I didn’t sleep well because of this. We were really disappointed that the TV in our room wasn’t working - spoke to a staff member who said they would come and have a look but they didn’t show up. Called reception at least 4 times but no answer. The TV wouldn’t turn back off either so was left with the light of that through the night. Dinner was delicious although starters and deserts slightly pricey, nice cocktails and breakfast was very tasty too, plenty of options. Service was great in the restaurants, plenty of staff and very attentive.

Had a great overnight stay with my partner and dog. Room was perfect with lots of lovely furnishings. Would have liked to have been given information on recycling as we took all of ours with us.

Lovely atmosphere, the hotel has been very stylishly decorated with a mixture of periods of furniture. The staff were all very welcoming and made us feel very relaxed as soon as we arrived. The head waiter is a fantastic character and was kind enough to give my wife a rose when we sat down for an amazing dinner. He also seated us for breakfast and was very friendly and helpful. All in all a wonderful weekend away and we are both considering a trip back in the summer to enjoy the outside eating and the use of the verander with the room.

Fantastic hotel food staff and bed excellent Lovely location.

We had amazing weather for January which made the river walk to Crathes Castle really a treat. All the food was very good and hot. Real fire made it homely. Pet friendly. Outdoor seating gave easy access the to great river side and views.

We thoroughly enjoyed our short one night stay. We’ll definitely be back!

Welcomed with a cosy, traditional style room, tartan throws, stag lamps small fireplace - lovely surroundings - breakfast room airy with outward views - breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff very friendly and excellent price for the stay and breakfast. Thank you 👌
