I would highly recommend this Hotel , rooms quality, staff great , breakfast amazing , lovely bar and fantastic evening food 👌

Got there at 8:15pm booked in and got shown to our rooms, once we put our stuff down we went down stairs to get a drink and order some food, we ordered our drink and asked for menus, we were told it had been too busy and we couldn’t get food. After a moan they apologised and brought us menus we ordered for a chicken burger and two steak pies. After an hour to food came out the chicken in the burger was dry but edible, the same can’t be said for the pies both pies smelt horrible once opened and the filling was burnt horribly, it was disgusting. Of course the staff apologised and offered more food but by now it was 9:45 and we were over it. The floors and walls are very thin and you can clearly hear conversations from the next rooms and the rooms above need military grade underlay as a stompy patron woke me up at 5:30 in the morning from the room above. Over all would not return or recommend. Breakfast was fine, fried eggs overcooked.

Room was clean and very comfortable although no bottled water supplied although tea and coffee in room. Staff very attentive and friendly. Evening meals were excellent although breakfast not so great on the first morning. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Central location adjacent to the bus stop for our transfer back to Banks to continue our Hadrians Wall Walk. Friendly and efficient staff and excellent food

We had a one night stay, dinner in the bar was very good with the added bonus of live music. Breakfast was excellent, the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The room was well equipped but would benefit from a full length mirror. Would highly recommend and we will be back!

The parking was a little difficult until the staff told us want to do. The room was really clean . Bar staff were brilliant and helpful especially Ella.

Wonderful 2 night stay with a friend! The staff were really welcoming, efficient & friendly. The room was spacious & beautifully decorated with a modern clean bathroom & lovely toiletries. Howard Arms is an inn, but it's also a restaurant. Once we arrived and settled into our room, it was very easy to go back downstairs and have dinner. They are VERY dog friendly, and we loved the cat that sat on the stairs, enjoying attention from everyone. We were able to park our car right near the front door which made it easy to unload our luggage.

This is I believe the premier hotel in Brampton. It is clean, well maintained and comfortable. It has a lot of atmosphere and history. I liked the Dickens touch. The staff were friendly and helpful. The big black mark was that we were locked out, something which has never happened to me before in a hotel. Three of us returned at 11 pm to find all the doors locked and nobody responding to knocks or telephone calls. We eventually had to climb in through the window. The only alternative would have been to sleep on the street. In fairness the staff were apologetic next morning and told us that in the normal course of events, had they been told we were going out, they would’ve given us means of access. Nobody asked whether we were going out. And it should not have been necessary. I hope following this feedback they will change their arrangements

Very friendly and helpful staff. Delicious breakfast with a wide range of choices. Slept well! The pub is dog friendly too.

Room was tired. Furniture was chipped . Signs of mould in shower. Wallpaper was damaged in several places. Sound insulation between rooms not good at all.(could hear every step from room above as well as conversation)
