Tip: ask not to stay in the stables rooms - very small, walls are paper thin & get hot. Also the shower leaks in middle of the night. Amazing home made gluten free bread at dinner but it’s a shame theres only 1 gluten free option on menu. The menu itself is very limited. Also the breakfast gluten free bread is not as nice.

This is the second time we’ve stayed here in the past few months and we really love the hotel. The rooms, bar and restaurant are lovely, as is the food. Unfortunately, some of the staff let this place, in particular the reception staff are unfriendly, unhelpful and made the stay less enjoyable.

Lovely location, Friendly staff A little pushy trying to get our dinner choice at 4:30pm. Good dinner, but few Vegetarian options. Great breakfast, good bathroom and shower. Whilst a 4 poster bed, (room 3), It was unfortunately a very cold room and bed very uncomfortable, my wife particularly only getting 4 hours sleep between 10pm and 7 am. We would suggest a new mattress and the use of duvets, not sheets and a blanket, this would help future guests. All feedback given to reception at Checkout, which was acknowledged. No offer of even a part refund though, which would have been a positive response. (It’s not about money but the principle)

Had a brilliant stay at Nuthurst ! Could not fault it, from the minute you walk in to leaving was faultless! You can tell they go the extra mile on everything from cutlery to the rooms to the food served ect it’s a beautiful place to stay. Thanks to everyone one working there :0)

Dirt in the room and under the bed. Staff generally good. Booking came with a room upgrade due to status. Room upgrade didn’t occur despite the hotel being empty and having availability on their website. Emailed the hotel through Expedia app (replying to the message they sent me) asking questions. That was ignored and not responded to. Dinner food quality was poor considering my the level they quote themselves to be at and prices charged. Ice cream for dessert clearly suffering from freezer burn with plenty of ice. Room was ok - nothing spectacular.

Fantastic venue

A lovely little place hidden away in the countryside and very reasonably priced. The Room was light, airy, spacious and spotlessly clean. The Staff were very friendly and attentive. The Food was delicious. We will definitely come back again

Hotel was absolutely spotless, all members of staff were fabulous; friendly, courteous and provided a first class service. Hotel is set in a beautiful location and has stunning interior.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel interior is beautiful. I was very pleased with the restaurant's flexibility with a gluten intolerance during an evening meal, lovely gluten free bread was provided which was unexpected. The gluten free options at breakfast were unfortunately lacking, especially after the bar was set so high the night before.

Great staff, great food, beautiful property, very comfortable !

Room was clean, fresh smelling, cosy and comfy. We had a good night's sleep. Parking was great, close to the room. Can't fault any staff member as all were friendly and polite. Food was great

Only one small gripe....check out time, 10 am. I think this is too early, most hotels are 11am or even 12 noon. In addition I couldn't seem to find this information on hotels website.

Great stay

This is a fine hotel, with very comfortable rooms and excellent staff who are all committed to ensure that you enjoy your stay. The food is excellent and very reasonable in terms of cost, given the quality. We enjoyed a couple of really pleasant evening meals, well presented and tasty. There was ample choice and a good variety of wines too. Breakfasts were outstanding and really set you up for the day. Again there was a fine selection to tempt all palates and service was prompt and friendly. The surroundings and general comfort within the hotel ensured the opportunity to relax and feel that you were having a real break. There was little or no noise (only the odd banging door from guests), but it was generally very peaceful and relaxing. There was plenty of parking, so no hassles there either! Our room was large with a nice view over the gardens. Tea, coffee and water were provided and there is a fridge for cold drinks too. The beds were comfortable and we had loads of room. Rooms were serviced every day. The location of the hotel ensures easy access to local sites of interest plus local towns. You aren't very far from finding something to interest you. The weather could have been kinder but even this hotel, excellent though it is, couldn't do much about that! I simply cannot fault the service or the staff in any way. If you are searching for a good quality place in which to relax and enjoy a little peace and relaxation, this is definitely the place for you!
