Great ambiance, located in a safe and quiet part of the city center close to MG Road. Friendly staff, and allowed me to check in upon a late arrival. I never tried their breakfast. If you are an international looking for a budget-friendly hotel, this could be it. The facilities weren’t the cleanest, but the bed was comfortable and cozy. You have to carry a lock key around with you. One thing I found a little off putting was the lock situation. The door locks from both sides. Essentially you could get locked in your room.

If you want an affordable, safe, quiet stay in this area, Golden Lotus is for you. If you're used to western hotels, this may not be your thing. This is a classic, old-school Indian hotel with all of the charms and oddities you may expect. The rooms are very large, the staff is helpful and friendly (but not in the overly sycophantic way of the 5 star Indian Hotels). Most of the staff speak Hindi only, but we were able to communicate my requirements without much difficulty. There is breakfast and food to order available in the hotel. It is located in a very quiet residential neighborhood less than 10 minutes from the MG Metro Station. There is 24 / 7 security at the front gate. Wifi could be a bit faster, but works well.

Found dirty undies just as I slipped into the bed to sleep. Suggesting beds sheets were not changed. The manager had the nerve to accuse me of leaving them there. Stayed two nights never again and wouldnt suggest amyone either.

The property has a very old school, authentic Indian feel about it that is true to the pictures. Everything about the place had an old world charm, but the conveniences were modern. Food options were very good and delivered in fairly short order. There seemed to be a lot of construction going on at the main entrance, so entering and leaving was a bit of challenge at times. Once you did leave, however, you were in a lovely neighborhood not far from a ninety of amenities, including a short walk to the Trinity Metro station.

Huge room, polite and friendly staff- the cleaning team, man at front reception and especially the door/security man. Indian breakfast was the exact same for the 5 days we were there (although it was delcious).

Great people there Raja the manager is super cool so is the staff! Good breakfast!

It was not pleasant stay as initially given a room had rats then shifted to 502 room there AC was not working properly when complained asked to adjust with Table FAN. TV was not working on complaining it was fixed. The floor attender was very rough when asked for anything.

It was great to stay like home away from home. I am a frequent traveler and its quite boring to stay in almost same type of rooms all across the globe. Golden Lotus was like I am a guest with some family friend. Rooms are of super size and luxurious.
