All good

the beach view was good, but our room had beams in the middle of the room which we had to climb over to get to the other side of the room, the hotel is looking really tired, they wouldn’t let us eat in the restaurant because they had a big party coming so we sat in the bar but no big party came, I wouldn’t stay there again.

The hotel was in a great location, beautiful setting on the beach & friendly and helpful staff. Each member of staff we met was friendly & approachable. The hotel and room was clean. Beautiful pool area.

We stayed for 1 night. Amazing views over the bay. Staff were lovely. Our room was very noisy overnight. Our shower did not drain properly and almost overflowed, which was reported at checkout.

Relaxing few days away. Room was perfect, with amazing views of the sea and St Ives bay. Very comfortable and service is excellent. Food outstanding. We look forward to returning next year

Lovely hotel overlooking the beach. Pleasant staff and very good continental breakfast every morning. Spa was excellent and a nice bit of luxury at the end of the day

We had a lovely stay at this hotel. I and my husband came to the town ro soend our 10th wedding anniversary and the staff were very welcoming and quick to respond to requests. We recommend.

Central location. Friendly staff, lovely rooms. Parking limited and so have to get a concierge to park.

Disappointed with the service. Although my Hotels.com booking clearly stated a double bed and a single bed, we were given a family room with a double bed and a bunk bed. When I raised the issue, the staff claimed that the requested option wasn’t visible in their system and blamed the third-party booking platform. However, my confirmation clearly showed the bed request. For nearly £400 a night, I expected reliability and transparency. Unfortunately, the receptionist was dismissive and made no effort to accommodate the request. This experience has left me unable to trust the booking process and very dissatisfied with the service.

The family room we had was excellent and the view was amazing out over Carbis bay and St Ives.

Very pretty hotel with beautiful views and a particularly goos breakfast. Windows were a bit tricky to use and rooms got very hot in the night. Rooms were not made up well (bet made but rubbish not removed and dirty glasses not replaced).

We asked for a bit more with this local and hotel and got it. It is a nicer place for a higher level stay. The front staff were obsequious and pleasant.

We had room 309, and it was by the main road into St Ives. As a result it was very noisy at all times.

The hotel is conveniently located about a 15 minute walk from the centre of St. Ives and is directly above Porthminster Beach. In terms of overall amenities and service, I would rate this property at no more than 4 stars. We stayed in an ocean facing room with a balcony. The room only had a double bed and a very small bathroom. The balcony was not cleaned and the chairs and table had bird droppings on them, making it not pleasant to use. Our daughters had a room without a view on the lower ground floor; the room was bigger and had a king sized bed and a sizeable bathroom.

Very nice stay. Room was small but it was furnished nicely and was very clean. The hotel facilities were good.

Fantastic service at the hotel. Valet parking at St Ives is so amazing. The facilities at the hotel are great and the view from our room was incredible.

Great walkable area not far from the harbour, shops, restaurants. Staff was wonderful. Our only complaint was getting from the train from St Erth into St Ives. I wish there was some type of warning from the hotel. No lift from incoming train over to St Ives platform with luggage was no fun then getting the luggage from the train up to the hotel was very difficult. Take a cab from St Erth to the hotel if you have more than hand luggage.

Wir hätten die Bewertungen ernster nehmen sollen. Wir dachten, dass das Management, welches auf Bewertungen antwortet, sich auch um das Angesprochene kümmert. Tut es nicht. Hotel: sehr schön eingerichtet! Perfekt! Bett: bequem Bad: nicht sauber - Ecken staubig und klebrig, keine Steckdosen - Haare müssen am Bett getrocknet werden, keine Haken für Handtücher o.ä., kaputter Shampoospender über der Badewanne- Roomservice lässt die Teile davon einfach liegen, kein Austausch, Heizung ständig auf max gestellt- es ist nicht möglich diese abzustellen (draußen waren es 25Grad) Kein AC (das bei der Heizung!!) Romservice macht nur das Bett und wechselt Handtücher. Saugen / wischen leider nicht während unseres Aufenthalts. Frühstück- ein Streifen Emmentaler und einer Streifen sehr blassen Schinkens, Obstsalat ohne Bananen, Kiwi, Apfel oder Erdbeeren (Saison wäre gewesen) dafür mit Honigmelone, Wassermelone, Birne und Weintrauben (nicht Saison!!), auf Anfrage nach nicht gesalzener Butter, wird beantwortet, dass diese aus sei. Tagelang. Es wird viel dafür gegeben, dass man extra Frühstück bestellt (ca 10£). An das Management- bitte nehmen Sie sich die Kommentare zu Herzen und machen sie aus dem sehr schön eingerichteten Hotel auch den Aufenthalt schön. Das Personal wäre mit etwas Training besser.
