We enjoyed our four nights in Casa de Mariana 5 - on an upper floor. The location is excellent - a small quiet street very close to the main sites of the centro.
The room is quite modern and compact, although the terrace (which we didn't use because of cool drizzly weather) is quite large. On another visit we might opt for a 1 bedroom apartment.
Other than an espresso machine, mini-fridge, kettle and toaster, there isn't much for kitchen items - including no kitchen sink or dishes/cutlery. However, we did use the communal kitchen on the ground floor for breakfasts.
One downside - the lights in the stairway/hallway stay on all night and there is a small window into this room that does not have a shade to block the light. A pizza box came in handy.
Lucía was very helpful in booking flamenco tickets for us.
