Fantastic from the moment you pull up outside, you simply say to yourself I hope this turns out to be as good as it looks. Then as you walk through the door you are greeted by two extremely tentative ladies who make you feel very welcome. The room, the evening meal and the breakfast were all of the best quality. Will definitely use this place again, as part of our road trips into France. 10/10 👍👍❤️

Very characteristic inn. Have stayed before, food & rooms are lovely as are the staff. Pub needs a free guest WiFi without having to sign up online.

Recommend the 5 Bells and their team very highly. Both relaxed and very professional, from the minute I checked in to a great breakfast. I was en route to the channel tunnel. If you’re doing the same stay here, seriously.

Beautiful old building, in a pretty little village, just 25 mins from the Eurotunnel. Delicious dinner and cooked breakfast. Perfect overnight stay!

The room was delightful and quirky - lovely roll top bath and really quaint with great views.

Room was clean albeit slightly late for 3pm check in. We stayed in ortega which had a lovely bathroom but found the toilet was very cramped. The log fire was a lovely touch and the lack of TV was different but not something that put us off. We had dinner in the restaurant and both starters were delicious and my wife's main course was beautiful but I opted for the steak which although cooked perfectly, was incredibly fatty which detracted from the enjoyment of the meal. The manager was quick to notice and put things right by way of discount and a complimentary brandy. Overall we had a lovely stay and break away from reality 👍

We loved our stay at the Five Bells Inn. Beautiful rooms, great breakfast, cosy pub and lovely surrounding village & countyside. We will definitely stay again.

Lovely atmospheric bar and restaurant with open fire. Food and service was excellent. Bathroom in bedroom lacked privacy and no TV.

Was a wonderful hidden Jem with amazing bar and restaurant. The room was lovely and the only challenge was taking a shower in a bath tub ha but it was big and copper gorgeous. Will be back again.

Very warm and friendly welcome by all staff with great service and excellent choice of drinks especially there own Plumb Gin. Yummy. Very relaxed about our slightly late arrival. We loved the Innovative and quirky decor throughout. Bed was so comfy and the complimentary port for a night cap,loved it. So nice that there was no TV. In the bedroom too. Complimentary breakfast delicious and plenty food, hot and cold drinks to start your day. Definitely would really recommend staying here. Thank you for making our stay so lovely.

I was on a motorcycle trip and stopped at the five bells before getting the Eurotunnel in the morning. Room was great, staff were super friendly and great food. I would definitely recommend.

Great hospitality and lovely decorated room. The food also was really good. The only thing that was a bummer was the check-in information. On Expedia and other booking sites it states: Sunday till 9pm. After booking we got a mail from the property that it’s 6pm. Rechecked on their website and it stated 7pm. Really unclear and no response to mails. After a call the helpful lady made arrangements to help us which was great. Could be a five star review if this gets sorted.

Great place with loads of history and character. Nice host and staff. Lovely room but mind your head on the low beams. Left too early for breakfast - host prepared a nice breakfast hamper for us.
