The staff were friendly but hard to get ahold of, but some allowances can be given for this as it was Fathers Day and the restaurant downstairs was very busy. The room was clean but some basic maintenance issues that we’d pointed out on a previous stay were still an issue; the vanity seat was dangerously wobbly, one of the bedside lamps didn’t work, the safety cable on the window was still broken and there still wasn’t any hooks in the bathroom. When I made a cup of tea the milk provided had gone off, it was replaced quickly enough but it lead me to wonder if the items in the room were replaced/checked daily. We don’t expect perfection for the price point, but some of this is basic maintenance.

The staff were helpful, the hotel was clean- however, on the Friday evening when I arrived the Internet was down, and still down when I went out after 9 am Saturday morning. Otherwise, a comfortable stay.

The restaurant below is absolutely lovely. The rooms are a little tired but comfortable and clean. They were also very quiet which was important to us. We would stay again.

My second stay here. A really good place to stay with a great Italian restaurant attached. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Free parking too. A nice pub down the road selling a great pint of ale. Dartmouth Park is close by and lovely to walk around. Bus and tram stop about 20 mins walk away to easy access in to Birmingham or Wolverhampton and they run late so you can have a nice night out and get back to hotel without a worry.

Lovely room. The staff are brilliant and go above and beyond to help. Very well mannered and a pleasure to talk to. This was our second stay and definitely won't be out last. We stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary weekend and it was great. Room spotless and amazing staff. Very happy

The property is nice and the beds comfortable, its just attention to detail things that let this hotel down. PROS It's quiet, comfortable, clean and the staff are incredibly helpful and welcoming. The restaurant (where most of the focus is) looks and smells amazing. CONS I've stayed here twice now and there's been 'minor' issues each time; the first time I found a hair in the bed - I didn't bother reporting it and because I was so tired just slept on top of the duvet, I couldn't get the TV to turn on and there weren't any curtains up on the window (it was left bare). The second time, I had the same issue with the TV (different room), the window safety latch had been severed so when the wind blew it pushed the window so far out that I had to ask for help to close it. The lamps over the beds had bulbs in but didn't work, the stool at the desk was unstable and there's little to no storage space in the bathroom.

Firstly, you have to walk through the restaurant to check in and get to the rooms, which felt quite uncomfortable on a busy Friday night, on a busy walkway we were getting in the way of waiters trying to bring food past. No hairdryer in the room and it looked very worn and ready for an upgrade - sealant in the bathroom needs replacing, walls are dirty, buttons missing from the headboard. Shower door didn’t shut properly, despite a notice saying that if the door wasn’t shut, there was a chance that it would cause a leak in the restaurant below.

Decent sized bedroom with full en suite bathroom with a bath. Nice and clean and quiet enough for a decent nights sleep. Good restaurant attached

The room was okay but the staff really shone.

Great for the price. Friendly staff. Looks like an amazing Italian restaurant attached that we sadly never have the chance to eat at. Easy, safe parking and easy access into Brum.
