The staff were very friendly and the room was very clean it just lacked air con and with a tiny bedroom window regardless on the heating not being on there was hardly and airflow within the room. Couldnt fault anything else had a lovely stay

Beautiful place. Great staff. Delicious food. This is a lovely area with witchy culture,, English gardens, and hiking.

We stayed in a room at the rear of the property. It is clean, but very dated bathroom, decor, upholstery and carpet. Really needs a complete renovation. It was a very hot evening and a ceiling fan would be useful because there is not a lot of room in the accommodation for a free standing fan. The sun is on the room all day. Food excellent and staff very courteous.

Lovely warm welcome, beautiful room with stunning views. Pleasantly quiet as it’s above the pub. Breakfast was absolutely beautiful, generous helpings, fresh and tasty ingredients. Will definitely visit again!

Breakfast a bit dissappointing not to our taste the way it was cooked and our room was situated above the kitchen so very noisy during service

We enjoyed our stay. The staff was really friendly. The pub and the beer garden is a lovely area. We enjoyed the beer. And the full English vegan breakfast made our stay even more enjoyable. Great location for walks.

Bathroom had hair in shower from previous guests and door didn’t shut. Room spacious and ok but not our fave hotel to stay in and wouldn’t stay again. Food very expensive but bar staff friendly. Not for us

On arrival the receptionist on duty was extremely helpfull and informative.Our bedroom in the in the annexe was acceptable although the bathroom facilities had problems which we reported. We had invited friends to join us for Dinner that evening alas the food was abysmal,two of uscordered cheese and onion pie and requested no vegetables or baked beans to accompany the said dish,the cheese and onion pie lacked cheese and flavour and.mushy, the chips accompanying the pie pale and insipid alas the scamoi and chips the samev. We certainly would not recommend dining at aThe Calf's Head .
