Not dog friendly: We wanted to stay a few nights in Rome but were told in a cold way that the dog has to stay supervised (never left alone) in the room, also for breakfast. Unacceptable when it is 35 degrees outside and for discovering Rome. After a few minutes the man told us then that it can be unsupervised for a few minutes and that one of us should stay nearby when dog is unsupervised. First time ever that we had such an experience after a lot of hotels. We even mentioned in advance that we have dog with us.

Wonderful breakfast, nice size room, clean, modern, safe location.

Nice location, closish to station, opposite a mini supermarket and about 20 minute walk to colosseum. Very simple double room, no iron or kettle for tea/coffee. Breakfast was decent. Wouldn't mind coming again due to good location and price, wish there were a few more amenities.

Our room was super small for two people!

Great people, great service, wonderful hotel and the location was exceptional with so many restaurants close by and also, a little grocery store! The rooms were clean, showers were excellent and the people were kind and very helpful.

Localização muito boa, ônibus e metrô perto, fácil locomoção. Bairro tranquilo e seguro, bons restaurantes e supermercados. Café manhã bom, cama não era boa pedimos cama casal e eram duas de solteiro juntadas. Colchões não eram bons. No mais tudo muito bom.

Hotel muito bem localizado fora da correria do centro porém próximo das principais pontos turísticos. Limpeza e café da manhã impecáveis.

Ho soggiornato in questo hotel a 4 stelle, ma lo considererei piuttosto un buon 3 stelle o un 4 stelle debole. La camera era molto pulita, bella e ben arredata – sicuramente il punto forte della struttura. Purtroppo il servizio è stato deludente: il personale era spesso scortese e poco disponibile, il che ha influito negativamente sull’esperienza complessiva. Anche la colazione era piuttosto semplice, con una scelta limitata e nulla di speciale. In generale, un soggiorno discreto, ma con evidenti carenze, soprattutto nel servizio.

We spent 3 nights at Hotel San Giovanni Roma and truly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a peaceful neighborhood but still offers easy access to the center of Rome via public transportation. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. One of the highlights was the wonderful breakfast each morning—fresh, varied, and beautifully presented. The staff were warm and helpful, always ready with a smile and great local advice. A relaxing and convenient base for exploring the Eternal City. Highly recommended!

Hotel fora da ZLT, tem estacionamento próprio (pago), podendo deixar o carro na rua nas proximidades do hotel também. Chegamos antes do horário do check in e este foi antecipado sem nenhum custo a mais. Café da manhã excelente! Equipe educada. Recomendo.

The staff at the front desk, in particular, two ladies, were very very helpful when we needed assistance. The room was a good size and very clean. The property is a quick walk to the Coliseum and there were many dining options close by.

Rustige locatie met voor de wandelaars veel moois op loopafstand. Voor mindere wandelaars is het een goed idee om een 24-, 48-, of 72-uurs ticket voor alle ov binnen Rome te kopen. (Bus vanaf halte Pannonia de Matteo, niet de halte voor het hotel)

Very nice and updated property. Easy walk to the colosseum. Nice staff and safe area

The area was quiet but a close walk to the colosseum which was nice. Only wish that there were more amenities in the rooms i.e. a kettle, ironing board, closed clothing area, suitcase rack. It was quite a small room so be wary for those with 2 or more luggage! Otherwise the staff were lovely and we would happily stay here again!

Nicely located within walking distance of the coliseum. Lots of nice places to eat around the hotel with very friendly people
