The room was clean easy check in The noise was loud from other guests Smelt of weed and smoke throughout the buildings.

The room was clean and as nice as advertised. Stairs only access so mobility concerns could be a factor if stairs are a challenge. Great insulation so you dont really hear your neighbours ( only if they are flighting at midnight and yelling )but still muffled that white noise can drowned it out. The shower is deadly in the fact you'll never want to get it. This could cause delays if your on a time crunch so make sure you plan for extra time as it is so relaxing I wish I could take it with me. My husband now has one more item to our hunny do list. Thank you for an amazing experience. I highly recommend a stay at The Westlake.

Bring an extension cord, as there is a lack of power outlets. Also I banged my head on the hanging light! I wished there was a light switch on both sides of the room, so perhaps take a nightlight! Otherwise my stay was perfectly pleasant!!

I enjoyed the experience very much. The Beach room was clean,spacious, with a great new bathroom and glass 2 head shower. The bed was very comfortable . There was a spacious refrigerator, and cutlery/ plates/ Keurig. The parking at the rear was available fortunately. It was a Friday night and the room was perfectly quiet despite there being a male dance club . I below. I enjoyed the great television channel selections and retro arcade game in the lobby.

Convenient location and excellent design

No wine glasses or water pitcher. Shower was too small to be comfortable. TV was broken. Repaired TV had no access to any streaming services. 6/10

Perfectly sufficient

I was initially concerned when I received the Expedia booking confirmation containing an exterior photo of the property showing a seemingly unconventional accommodation. My concerns proved unwarranted. Our room was clean, modern and comfortable. We got one of the 5 parking spaces, Ubered easily to and from Massey Hall and found an excellent breakfast nook the next morning ("Decourses") less than a mile away. Neighborhood is eclectic with lots of food and shops, trolly and bikeshare out front. My pillow was a little stiff but I'll being my own when we retun.

Peculiar hotel, boutique, self check-in. Be aware that there are hidden fees, room charge was $175, taxes and incidental???? Fees were $196 ( more than room) be careful When using 3rd party . Hotel has a $50 cleaning fee and $100 damage deposit on top of other charges!!

I would say good location and easy to get in. But the dishes were not clean and there was a used dirty spoon in the dish tray. The bathroom was clean. I also don’t like carpet in hotels. They probably do it for sound. But carpets have to be cleans like one a month. Cause they are gross. Otherwise the location was perfect and the linens were clean.

This hotel operates on a slightly hands-off, self-service principle, which took me a while to grasp upon arrival fully. However, once I tried things out, everything worked perfectly for my needs, and I was happy to stay there.

What a fun place to stay! Hotels in the West End of Toronto are limited and we were in town for a wedding so we booked the Westlake. Each room has its own vibe. We had the beach room which was super fun. Parking is limited, however we got there early and were able to secure a spot. They advertise an adult only hotel yet I did see children in the hotel and since there is no one at the front checking you in. There is no real way to monitor this. We would stay again if we need a hotel in the West end of the city.
