A beautiful spot. I wish we stayed for longer!

We had friends visiting from Aussie so were doing a south island road trip. A great stay at this property at Franz Josef. Cute cabin style, warm and quiet. Could sleep 9 so is a good option for families and groups. Waiho hot tubs just around the corner, these were a highlight. Great communication with property owner.

Within easy walking distance of town. Beds were comfortable and heaters in the house worked well but the bathroom was not heated and was very cold. Living area/kitchen cramped and settees very uncomfortable. House would be better with bathroom divided into two shower rooms/toilets and only two bedrooms with third bedroom made into additional living space.

The bedrooms had good beds, nicely made up - but there were no storage spaces/cupboards. The lounge/dining/kitchen area felt cramped & uncomfortable. The hot water in the kitchen did not work, but we were expected to do our own dishes, otherwise we would have been charged $25 extra. Parking & getting out of the property was difficult due the large bolders framing the drive rather tightly. We would not stay there again. Also: Considering the above, the place is definitely not worth its nightly price.

Really great place to stay, private and easy access to the shops and restaurants. Property always gave great suggestions of things to do and see.

Very clean! All the 3 rooms got a double bed and a single bed! The bathroom is extremely big but we have to share among 6 people!

Fabulous accommodation. Short stroll to town. Private & well equipped.

Very comfy and spacious bedrooms with a TV in each. The only criticism is the windy driveway with big rocks making for some close calls trying to back out.

Good location large and comfortable. It is a smokers used accommodation.

We didn't stay there the roads were closed both ways due to flooding. Both the motel and Expedia need to review their policies as we still got charged even though there were 870 tourists stuck in Franz Josef, ( would of filled the room quite quickly) We had been in contact with the motel.So not happy.

We had booked for a night in forest view. The place was very nice, clean, and comfortable. Would definitely come back to this place
