Everything about the hotel was amazing

Il personale dell’hotel è. Stato impeccabile e sempre molto gentile. L’ultimo giorno ci hanno permesso di lasciare i bagagli fino all’ora di partenza. La struttura è molto vicina alla spiaggia di Mondello. Consigliato!

Here are my honest ratings based on our stay experience for family of 4. Hotel Surroundings = 6 out of 10, shy, the hotel was build in 1958 and barely had any reconditioned, sometimes the elevator works and sometimes it doesn't Location = 8 out of 10, it was 10 minutes to the beach Amenities= there are no pool towels provided Aircon = there's a temperature control but it's controlled by the hotel and it will turn off by itself Cleanliness = 7.5 out of 10 Comfort = 5 out of 10 Bed is hard, our neck and shoulders were aching due to the springs on the mattress Breakfast = 8 out of 10 Staff = 8 out of 10 Wifi 1 out of -0, it doesn't work in the room or in the lobby! Overall experience =6.8; due to mattress not comfortable, no wifi, no pool towels and bath towels are very thin. We scored them high-five staff friendliness and professionalism!

Vi var två personer som bodde här i en vecka och det var ett trevligt boende! Rummen var bra, de var rymliga och hade flera bekvämligheter som minibar och ac, samt att sängen var bekväm. Vi åt frukost varje dag och det var helt okej. Vi tyckte dock att det fanns lite för få alternativ att välja mellan. Det var mestadels sötsaker som serverades (t.ex croissant, cannoli, andra bakelser). Hotellet hade ett bra läge i Mondello, eftersom det var nära till stranden och många restauranger. Personalen var också väldigt trevliga och hjälpsamma, vi tyckte att vi fick väldigt bra service. Vi hade rekommenderat det här hotellet till någon som ska till Mondello/Palermo, framför allt på grund av dess service och läge.

They were updating the hotel, painting and working on the hallway of my room. The workers were loud and the paint fumes were strong.

Loistava sijainti lähellä rantaa sekä hyvä valikoima ravintoloita lähistöllä. Mukava henkilökunta, hyvä aamiainen ja kiva uima-allas. Hotelli olisi kaivannut remonttia jo vuosia sitten, mutta se on kosmeettinen asia, ei toiminnallinen.

Friendly staff

Very friendly staff, big balcony, nice view

The hotel is a diamond in the rough. Sicily is not geared for tourists but Hotel Conchiglia D'oro is fantastic. James, Rosy, Roberto, Stefania and Antonio could not have been more helpful and accommodating. It is an easy 15 minute walk to Mondello beach which is easily one of the best beaches in Europe. Our room with the balcony is lovely and a great bathroom / shower for Med Europe. Breakfast is solid too. Great place to stay near a great beach.

Hotel grande caratterizzato da uno staff veramente disponibile e gentile. Piscina e colazione sono un plus

We stayed for a week and had a great time. Staff are very friendly, rooms are clean & maintained daily by the cleaners. There are good choices for breakfast and the swimming pool is pleasant and a decent size. The hotel is located in a quiet residential area and surrounded by incredible views of the mountains, whilst also only being a 10 minute walk from the beach & 15 from the square with great restaurants. The hotel could use some renovation as some aspects look quite dated, but it’s nothing major. Some staff don’t speak much English which at first can make communication difficult, so I would advise learning some basic Italian in advance to make it a bit easier for yourself. Overall, highly recommended for a reasonable price point. Would definitely return!

Godt gammeldags hotel, god service og virkelig flinke ansatte. Morgenmaden var ok men alt for mange slags søde kager, og det samme udbud hele ugen, en variation i ost og pålæg ville være dejligt. God swimmingpool men for få og alt for hårde liggestole, hynder til stolene ville være dejligt.

The air conditioning in the room was inadequate. I called and requested that they fix it but it still was not cooling. I suspect they need to either change or clean the filters, or do some other maintenance on their ac unit

We had a pleasant stay with incredibly helpful staff. There was a vintage charm to the place, with a lovely pool area. It was easy to either sunbathe or sit under the pine trees and there was a tranquility to the stay. If you didn’t have a access to transport the seafront was a reasonable walk away, so some planning has important.

Inizio con l’unico punto di miglioramento della struttura, avrebbe bisogno di un rinnovo o restyling. Per il resto niente da dire tutto ECCELLENTE! La comodità del parcheggio all’interno GRATUITO. Piscina grande e pulita, con tante sdraio disponibili. La colazione ottima varia dal dolce al salato: prosciutto, formaggio, uova strapazzate, wurstel, varie torte, biscotti e dolciumi. Buonissimi i piccoli cannoli! La gentilezza dello staff, che dire, sempre sorridente e disponibile a risolverti qualsiasi problema!

Struttura che ci serviamo ormai da tempo, sempre impeccabili, personale estremamente gentile, spero riescano a modernizzare un po’ la struttura

La struttura avrebbe bisogno di qualche dettaglio che la caratterizzi e di qualche rinnovo nell'arredamento un po' datato ( sia delle aree comuni che delle camere) ma compensa tranquillamente con la gentilezza del personale e con la pulizia eccellente; quindi ottima esperienza per soggiornare a Mondello

Hotel carino, comera datata ma comunque ottima pulizia e con una bella piscina all'aperto. Personale gentilissimo. Colazione nella media. Ottimo il parcheggio interno alla struttura. Sicuramente da ritornare
