My room was not cleaned during my entire time there. I had to use the same towels while there. On the day i checked out i was asked for a bedroom tax. There was no mention of this when i booked the room. The two ladies at the reception desk when i left were very rude to me and spoke in a language i did not understand. They seemed very aggressive.

Hotels.com reviews are usually bang on, so I don’t know how Hotel Putnik got a 9. I knew when I walked into this hotel that we were in trouble. The lobby was filthy, dilapidated and painfully dated. Our first room was filthy, had disintegrating walls, no light switch or plug plates and the fridge didn't work. I asked to me moved as we needed a working fridge. The second room was just as bad. The walls were scuffed, filthy and had a huge greasy stain on it like someone had thrown their dinner on the wall. The bed sheets were ripped. There was a sagging spot on the floor. The showerhead was broken, the shower leaked terribly and there was mildew all over the shower. Our stay included breakfast at the filthy restaurant, but it was so greasy, salty and bad that we ate out the second morning. The location is great and the staff try their best, but this place is a squalid dump. I don't know how they haven't been condemned. It's the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Check the Google reviews for a better sense of how bad the hotel is.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. There were a few small maintenance issues, but overall, the stay was,very pleasant.

Hotel is located just steps away from Novi Sad's pedestrianized zone, Republic Square, and Danube Park. It's about a 20 minute walk across the Danube to the fortress on the river bluff. Wonderful vistas of the Danube and Novi Sad. Hotel Putnik has a nice breakfast buffet, good wifi, ample hot water in the shower. There's limited onsite parking but I was able to secure one of the spots available.

Ich habe wenig Ansprüche an ein Hotel, aber das Zimmer muss sauber sein! Das Badezimmer und insbesondere das WC waren schrecklich! Bei den Google Bewertungen sind passende Bewertungen zu finden. Schlimm!

Just around corner from the main square and pedestrian zone. Many great restaurants within a short walk.

For our purposes this place was perfect. Dated yes but well taken care of, clean, affordable, and in an exciting area. Great breakfast. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We spend 2 nights in the comfortable hotel very well located in the center of novi sad. There was a free parking and everything was clean and convenient ! The staff has been very welcoming and professional !

Mi hanno dato una camera con lavabo e portarotolo rotti, loro sapevano. Ho chiesto sostituzione, ok. Non hanno accettato pagamento in € mi hanno applicato un tasso cambio molto superiore quello corrente. Pulizie rifatto solo letto, bagno zero!!! Estremamente insoddisfatto!!!

This place was really amazing. I read some comments saying the beds were very hard & comfortable but it was not true at all. The beds were great. The place is very clean. The staff are very friendly and genuine. The location is the best in Novi Sad (right in the main area). The value for money is second to none. Thank you for your hospitality and I will definitely choose to stay with you again if I come to Novi Sad.
