It was a clean comfy room.very noisey outside but that isnt thier fault .it a pity the shared kitchen not available any more.a long mirror on wall would of been nice as well.the owner seemed nice when i briefly met him.easy to get in.

Clean rooms

Despite the communication with the Guest House team being good prior to arrival, we were somewhat disappointed with the accommodation. How others can rate this as 5/5 is beyond me. Guest House advertises as having 'free parking' this is totally misleading, there is no parking at all at the premises guests have to park in nearby street parking or local car parks subject to availability. We found ourselves driving around the location for maybe 30 mins or more looking for parking space, not really what we wanted after a 4 hour drive! We booked the 'Suite, En Suite' which was meant to be x1 Single Bed & x1 Double Bed, which is advertised as having Separate Bedroom, DVD Player, Kitchen, Dishwasher, Toaster, Microwave, CookWare and utensils. What we got was one room with 3 single beds and no amenities except a kettle & cups and towel. Finally the bathroom, there was a horrible sewage smell possibly coming up from the drains in the shower or sink. Not a place we can recommend.

All the above ratings over 1 overnight stay. Good shower but runs very hot at times and difficult to control this is just an observation comment not a criticism.

Absolutely appalling experience. This hotel is situated right next to a busy road, making it unbearably noisy at all hours. To make matters worse, the hotel failed to provide us with the correct room keys upon arrival, causing unnecessary inconvenience. We booked a four-night stay, but shockingly, after just one night, the housekeeping staff mistakenly assumed we had checked out and rummaged through our belongings, scattering our personal items everywhere. The situation escalated further when, without permission, hotel staff aggressively entered our room at 8 PM while we were inside, claiming they needed to inspect the smoke detector. There was no alarm sounding, no visible smoke, and absolutely no justification for their hostile intrusion. We immediately contacted the police, filed a formal complaint, and left the hotel on the spot. An utterly unacceptable breach of privacy and security. Strongly advise everyone to avoid this establishment at all costs.

Clean and easy been using the place 4 last 10 yrs

Was a lovely place to stop over for the night, was upgraded which was a bonus, would recommend to anyone, the manager is very helpful if you need to check in late

Room was clean, well prepared, warm when I arrived. Comfortable bed. Stayed in room 14. No warm water on tap.

I booked two rooms for the carnival night. I booked the Admiral Blake because they advertised free parking. The week before the stay my wife read some reviews that I had not. They said beware the AB has no parking. I contacted the owner who said the parking was free!! but not at the property it was street parking only in the streets around the property. He told us we should get there early in the morning as the parking would probably be full as it was carnival night. I tried to book a car park online but all were full. I was bringing my daughter and the grandchildren we had two cars. We made the decision not to travel the 320 mile round trip as it was probable we would not find parking. I would not have booked rooms at the AB if the owner and Hotels.com had stated that the AB had no parking only street parking.

I was very disappointed in the room where I found stains on the bedding. I have taken pictures of it. I have told my boss where my boss had booked me into very dissatisfactory.

The room was ok and kept very clean and lovely room to sleep in only downfall was that there was no meals available which meant it was a very expensive weekend having to buy food for evety meal.

Bedclothes and towels needed a good wash- somebody was sleeping in them already?

Carpet had a wet spot. Room smelled musty. Shower kind of moldy tile. Bed was ok but room was hot. Wife said she thought the linen had not been changed so she slept with her clothes on. I thought it was clean but old. Parking was find your own in nearby street (which we could, but thought there was dedicated parking).

Nice tidy b b close to all amenities and town centre.
