Room was disappointing. Booked a top range room, the view was excellent, however the room was not as expected. It was clean and tidy, however very small. No storage - one very small 500x500 3 drawer chest (low quality) , a rail for hanging clothes, a vanity shelf with mirror, and one chair. Really no room to sit, other than on end of bed.
Had to sit in bar for over an hour as room not ready - I accept we were a bit early, however the Inn did not seem busy and no effort to check room readiness until after 3.00.
Staff were ok, did their job, but not really enthusiastic to communicate.
Was advised bar bill is kept separate and tab could be run up and settled in evening. I was presented with a bill as I left bar when room ready.
Restaurant was closed, but we ate in the bar. This was very disappointing after previous visits. Chairs looked like children’s furniture, hard seats without any cushions, and overall lacking any warmth.
The food however was first class, quick service and hot. Breakfast is as good as we have had in years, and service immaculate.
It was a disappointing few days as The Inn has lost much of the comfort we remembered.
It was a few years since we were last there, but probably some time if we ever return.
