We stayed at Hotel Maria for one night during our quick visit to see the Leaning Tower of Pisa, and the experience was generally pleasant. The room was clean and well-maintained, with all the basic facilities we needed. The bathroom was clean too, although the shower cubicle was quite small, which might be uncomfortable for tall or larger guests. The hot water level wasn’t as strong as expected, but the room heating worked perfectly, and overall cleanliness was excellent. The Wi‑Fi connection was good, which helped us plan our short stay. One of the hotel's biggest advantages is its location, situated directly in front of Pisa Centrale railway station. From there, it’s extremely easy to catch buses or the PisaMover shuttle to the airport, which takes only a few minutes. We also enjoyed a nice pizza dinner at a nearby restaurant, thanks to the convenient surroundings. We didn’t have time to try the hotel’s food, but based on the overall experience, we believe it should be good.

Great location, 1 minute from the train station from which you can travel to Florence, Livorno, Lucca etc. and close to bus stops. Very close to the airport. Friendly staff. Cold in the room (heating turned off at night) but you can use air conditioning for heating. Good value for money. Highly recommended.

I booked a single room, and it was really small. There was no complimentary water or proper shower gel, just a small sachet the size you get as ketchup in McDonalds. The smoke detector kept me awake all night, because it flashed light Green continuously and it was very bright. Reception close about 9.30, so can’t really tell anyone. The tv had no sky input source, so I just read my book. The was room 218. The bed wasn’t comfortable, as it leans to one side. The staff were great. Will I stay here age, it’s a no.

It was clean, but very basic. Barely any towels, staff didn’t seem to want to help; they didn’t seem to care. When you walk into the room and compare to the pictures online, it’s almost unrecognizable. It’s extremely small, amenities were not as described. The bathroom doorway was falling apart. Hotel didn’t seem prepared at all for guests - e.g. AC wasn’t on, barely any bedding, only sheets with no comforter. Blackout shades didn’t work. It was located near the train station and not far from the airport which was a plus.

Room was lovely, looks recently revamped. My only criticism was the noise, could hear everything from reception and staircase, should have replaced room door in revamp. They also have a nice coutyard to the side but this has not been loved, get rid of dead plants and a tidy up would turn this into a little gem.
