Our stay was AMAZING! The location was the perfect setting on a quiet lake with all the amenities you can ask for. The host was wonderful and very accommodating. We stayed in the 3bedroom cottage with 2 full bathrooms, a wonderful terrace, great kitchen and dining layout for a family of 5. We used their kayaks and rowboat and grill outside. There is a sauna right inside to get warmed up before jumping in the very cold but refreshing lake. Short walk to a waterfall and hiking. Short drive into larger towns for other food options. Wonderful farm store up the road for local food and a great bakery nearby. Absolutely breathtaking views. Incredible stay all around.

Highly recommend - it was the most beautiful place we stayed at during our Norway visit. Our property was right on the Oppstrynsvatnet lake. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and had all amenities - full kitchen, dining, iron, hair dryer. The house also had an in-house sauna in addition to a Panaroma sauna on the property. The panaroma sauna followed by a dip in the lake was a great experience. Host lives near the house and therefore, late check in was easy. Suggest bringing your own bodywash, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion.

We had a fantastic stay at Vollsnes Feriehus Stryn! Unfortunately the weather wasn't on our side, but it still gave us fantastic views!

We had a very nice 2 night stay in a cabin next to the lake. The proprietor greeted us, showed us the way to the cabin, told us where we could get dinner that evening, and came over the next morning to tell us that the road we planned to take to Geiranger to go on a fjord cruise was closed due to snow overnight. He was a wonderful host! The cabin itself was very nice, with a comfortable, albeit softer than we’re used to, bed. The bathroom had good water pressure for the sink and shower. No washcloths were provided, but this seems to be common in Norway accommodations. The clothes washer worked well. There was no clothes dryer, but a drying rack was provided. Our cabin was in a beautiful setting and we would stay here again if we ever visited this area of Norway again.

Fantastiskt bemötande när vi kom fram. Boendet var superfräscht och rymligt med en helt otrolig utsikt. Jättesköna sängar och väl utrustat kök. Tillgång till roddbåt och SUP var stort plus!

Very clean and well maintained property, more than enough space at a very beautiful spot together with a most friendly welcome. We would recommand this for anyone!

The property was clean and very comfortable, super cozy - it genuinely felt like home. The scenery was to die for and it was in close proximity to all the fun and adventurous activities. The host family was extremely nice and very helpful. There’s a nice restaurant about 5 minutes from the property, including a grocery store; there is also a cafe about 2 minutes away driving or less than 10 minutes walking distance.

Idyllic setting. Our unit was very quaint, but updated with stylish furnishings. Everything was clean and welcoming, including the lovely deck at lakeside. We loved it all.

Es una casita en un lugar de ensueño. Los dueños son muy amables y están al pendiente de todo para ayudarte con lo que necesites. La casa está completamente equipada (hasta lavarropas tiene). Cuenta con un sala comedor, dormitorio y cocina separados y un lugar afuera que no pudimos aprovechar porque llovía

My family stayed at Vollsnes Feriehus this August and it was by far our favorite place we stayed during our trip to Norway! Simply put, it was one of the most picturesque places we have ever stayed! The cabin was beautifully decorated, the host family was warm and inviting, the view from our deck was stunning, and we all had fun using the kayaks, paddleboards, and row boat. We only had a 2 night reservation and wish we could have stayed longer! Would absolutely love to return!! Can't recommend this place enough!

We just loved this cabin on the water with a view of the glaciers. Well appointed with lots of basic essentials offered (coffee filters, oil, foil). The owner greeted us and gave us a quick tour. We were very sad to only have 1 night and not get to use the bbq, kayaks or to enjoy the deck. Highly recommend this place.
