Nice place but very noisy

Great 1-night stay before heading to Arenal. Close to airport (5 min drive). Check in was smooth, room was comfortable. Service was amazing - Raffaella who checked me in was gentle and kind and Carlos who prepared my breakfast was very attentive. It was a good stay to recover from a long flight before my onward journey. Only regret isn’t being able to enjoy the pool as it was raining!

Nice and cozy

At first the hotel and grounds looked very nice. Yes, you hear the airplanes, but it is right next to the airport- that is why we stayed here for a night. However, during the night I got up to use the bathroom-there were flying ants everywhere! Crawling up the walls, shower curtain, toilet, sink, floors- We got dressed and left to the airport immediately!

Mi experiencia en el Hotel El Mango en general fue satisfactoria, ya que todo estuvo bien durante mi estadía. Sin embargo, considero importante señalar un aspecto que podría mejorarse: en las habitaciones no se cuenta con servicio de cable ni opciones de entretenimiento visual, limitándose únicamente a canales locales cuya calidad de imagen es bastante baja. Sería recomendable que el hotel valore la posibilidad de incorporar servicio de cable o, de ser posible, televisores con aplicaciones que permitan conectarse a dispositivos móviles. Esto sin duda elevaría la experiencia del huésped y haría la estadía mucho más confortable.

This has to be the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Everyone was kind and helpful. I highly recommend it!

We really enjoy staying at Mango. The facilities are very nice and very clean. The made to order breakfast is great. My griend left her Insulin at the Hotel and they sent it by driver to the Airport for my friend to get it before boarding her flight. I would prefer that they use less fragrance in the laundry. We look forward to returning soon.

Best place close to the airport.

The staff and facilities were great. Ironically the reason why we stayed one night, (it was close to the airport) was also the reason we gave it 3 stars, the hotel is in direct path of the takeoffs of the planes, super noisy.

Great boutique hotel by the airport. Beautiful space. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Nice breakfast. Great staff. Lovely pool. So convenient for in and out of SJO. Only downside is that at the airport the taxis don’t want to take you there bc it’s so close. It should cost $4 US according to the hotel and I have gotten it for less when I came in at midnight and the taxi driver was on his way home for the night. This time the minimum was $10 US and one guy wanted to charge me $30 US! Also airport and traffic noise are to be expected where it is. Will stay there every time I’m on the area.

My room was on the street side. Horribly noisy! Single pane windows. No cup, even plastic,

Pretty and relaxing outdoor areas for sitting or doing yoga near the pool. Close to the airport and good breakfast, comfortable bed. I would suggest earplugs. There is a lot of noise from the busy road out front and planes taking off over the hotel.

Best breakfast and the Staff is muy excelente!! Carlos puts effort into making dining a pleasant experience!!
