What a wonderful hotel. Clean and well appointed and the location is wonderful. Having stayed at a mainstream hotel in Copenhagen the night before for 5 times the price I was pleasantly surprised and would chose Coal Miners Cabins over other hotels for cleanliness and great service all at a fantastic price.

Väldigt bra och rent boende. Visst, en bit bort att gå ifrån centrala Longyearbyen, men om man gillar att gå, så var det inga problem.

If was a noisy room close to the toilets and poor soundproofing. Need earplug to get through the sleep.

Considerando che in estate c'è il sole 24/7 potrebbero installare delle tende idonee: le fessure non permettono di dormire se non si ha un sonno veramente pesante. Isolamento acustico tra stanze inesistente. Posizione: bisogna camminare 40 minuti per raggiungere il centro di Longyearbyen. Colazione: bisogna arrivare fra i primi per poter trovare il bacon. Il pane viene afferrato da tutti per poter essere tagliato. Nessun cibo ha un coperchio e dentro ci può entrare di tutto. La cena costa circa 25 euro escluse bevande ma è davvero deludente. In sintesi: costa davvero meno rispetto a tutte le altre strutture ma i motivi sono evidenti.

Great place and the breakfast was perfect

The hotel states "airport shuttle" as part of the booking but know you will need to pay for the city bus that stops at the hotel. It's definitely a walk to downtown, and with luggage, a taxi or bus is very highly recommended. Other than that, the rooms were nice and it was an affordable option if you don't mind being somewhat secluded from the other parts of town. Breakfast included was a nice amenity!

Friendly welcome. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Accommodation was comfortable and very warm. Bar area was a great place to relax and play some games with my 6year old. Dinner was tasty. Breakfast was good. Enough choice for our family. Great value accommodation.

Beautiful location , long walk from town if weather was bad. Breakfast was fantastic.

Very clean. Although shared bathrooms, it was impecably clean.
