We previously stayed a month or two before the new spa opened. We loved the place and said we'd go back when it was open...unfortunately events have dictated it took over 7 years! Finally we revisited and everything was as wonderful as last time with the addition of the beautiful spa. This time we were in Hatherleigh with great views over the front gardens and beyond from the room (and the bathroom)! Huge, comfortable bed, water, fruit and home-made biscuits in the room and excellent toiletries in the bathroom (with bath and separate shower). We had a two night package which included champagne cream tea and we had this soon after arriving on the terrace behind the spa with superb views. The scones were clearly home-made and excellent. Our included dinners were fantastic both nights with lots of choice of some amazing dishes. Canapes are served in the lounge while orders are taken and then an amuse bouche when seated in the dining room. All of these plus our 3 course choices both looked and tasted wonderful. We had a great bottle of red which they were very happy to keep half of for our second night. They also have excellent Devon Red cider at the bar. Breakfast in the conservatory was brilliant - an excellent fruit salad (with plenty of fruit/nut/seed options to add), fresh juices then several cooked options. The full English was perfect (amazing sausage) and the smoked haddock and salmon options fantastic too. The spa was perfect with clean, warm pool, very warm jacuzzi and great sun beds on the terrace. My wife had an excellent massage. Next to the spa they have almost finished building a new block of 5 rooms which will have wonderful views over the Taw Valley too. The grounds are lovely to walk around - some of the more overgrown parts from our last visit seem to have been cut back and the paths cleared! The staff are all absolutely brilliant at their jobs and all so helpful and friendly. We had a most relaxing stay in this oasis of calm - we definitely won't leave it another 7 years to return!!

Điểm nổi bật nhất là dịch vụ và đồ ăn trong một khách sạn kiểu nhà trang viên truyền thống được bảo dưỡng rất tốt. Chúng tôi ngay lập tức cảm thấy được chào đón, không có điều gì là quá khó khăn. Chúng tôi chắc chắn sẽ quay lại. Đừng đến đây vì nội thất hiện đại, phòng tắm hiện đại, v.v. Mọi thứ đều rất sạch sẽ, khăn tắm lớn mềm mại, giường thoải mái, vì vậy trong bối cảnh đó, nó thật tuyệt vời. Vì một lý do nào đó, chúng tôi đã không sử dụng khu Spa, một tòa nhà hoàn toàn mới và trông rất tuyệt.

Tuyệt vời, điều duy nhất tôi băn khoăn là các món ăn chủ yếu tập trung vào thịt lợn. Tôi biết điều này không tốt cho tất cả mọi người.

Khách sạn cổ kính tuyệt vời - phòng và giường thoải mái, đồ ăn ngon và spa thực sự rất tốt! Và tầm nhìn ngoạn mục!
