A lovely country pub, serving great food and drinks The room was well equipped, breakfast excellent and the staff very friendly and helpful

A lovely overnight stay from start to finish. The room was lovely, clean and modern En Suite, very comfy bed and liked the ground coffee options. Wifi wasn't brilliant, but we were in the furthest room. The pub is very cosy and traditional with lots of inglenooks, so didn't feel noisy. All staff were really helpful and friendly and the food was great, although very large portions. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful 😊.

The staff go above and beyond, the Inn is beautiful and the food is exceptional.

Lovely old pub with a real fire. This put a smile on my face as soon as I walked in. Friendly staff, good drinks options, nice food - breakfast was excellent. The room was a good size, clean and decorated well, giving it a nice character. I went for a quick run before dinner and dropped down into Pensford. This has a lovely old church and striking viaduct. Just what I needed before settling in front of the fire with a well earned pint. This is a quaint and delightful pub with lots of character. I will definitely be staying again when I'm next down this way.

A very pleasant stay at “The Carps”. Very pleasant, helpful, friendly staff. The room was very pleasant with a comfortable bed and roomy shower room. The room layout reflects the history of the property with a couple of shallow steps between the bedroom and shower. We stayed for dinner and were rewarded by a tasty meal. A good selection of vegetarian options. Our usual habit of swapping plates half though very much went by the board. Breakfast was very good with both millennial and traditional dinners accounted for. A fantastic place to stay.

I had a lovely stay at the carpenters arms. The room had everything I needed and was comfortable. Nice toiletries in the bathroom and a fab bath. I had dinner and breakfast as part of my stay. Dinner was delicious with a good variety of options. Dessert was yummy too. Breakfast was a two course affair with local produce - the best orange juice I've had in some time! I'd definitely visit again.

All round excellent place to stay, excellent cuisine, clean and comfortable rooms, thoroughly good place to stay.
