The room was clean, and the view from the rooftop bar was sublime. But what really made our stay was the helpfulness of the staff. When we were considering spending time at the beach while we were waiting for our room, they not only gave us recommendations for the beach (standard for a good hotel) and called us a taxi (also standard) but, without us asking, loaned us beach towels and a beach bag (not standard). The friendly staff turned a great visit into an amazing one, and was one of several great memories of our visit to Athens that have us wanting to come back soon.

I booked this hotel initially because it was in the neighborhood of a cruise we were boarding. We had a few days to explore, and found an abundance of food and amenities in the neighborhood. The rooftop restaurant is very good; we ate most everything breakfast there and some dinners. Finally, the main areas of Athens were not far away by cab or train, so made several trips up there too.

Here’s a polished version of your review: Our stay was okay overall, but there were a few disappointments. We upgraded to a Sea View room, however the outdoor area wasn’t really usable as it had an unpleasant smell and wasn’t somewhere we wanted to spend any time. Breakfast was good, although there was some confusion as we were initially told it was included, only to find out later that it wasn’t. The surrounding area is fairly quiet, with not a lot happening within walking distance. The rooftop has great potential and offers nice views, but it currently lacks atmosphere and felt a bit lifeless during our stay. On the plus side, the hotel was conveniently located for us as we were boarding a cruise ship the next day, with only a short taxi ride to the port. It’s a balanced review that highlights both the positives and the areas that could be improved.

This hotel was superb. The staff was accommodating, and the rooms were great. Having an onsite bar and restaurant was helpful, although we did find eateries easily in the surrounding area.

Our favourite pre cruise Athens hotel. Always welcoming and helpful. Lovely food and enjoyable relaxed roof top bar.

Perfect hotel for a short stay before our cruise! The location was ideal, making it convenient to explore and prepare for embarkation. The restaurant offered breathtaking views, and the food was absolutely superb. What truly set this hotel apart was the outstanding staff. From the moment we arrived, they came outside to assist with our luggage and warmly invited us to sit back and relax while they completed the check-in process. Their hospitality made us feel welcome from the very beginning. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit to Athens!

Great common area and public space..tiny room

Location to Mikrolimano where there are many restaurants. Staff very nice food was good. The only negative was the noise from traffic at night. The balcony doors weren't sound proof enough.

We booked this hotel for our overnight stay prior to going on our cruise. Hotel is only 10 minutes from the cruise terminal. What a find. Amazing staff, great hotel, incredible food at very reasonable prices and walkable to the Marina where there is an abundance of restaurants and bars to choose from. We will definitely be back !

The hotel had a nice clean room with very accommodating staff. The location was very good because it had many different food restaurants along the marina within walking distance.

Excellent service and extremely clean, stay in a suite , they are very spacious and have excellent air con and amenities. The evening menu could do with some fish on the menu, the breakfast is one of the best we have ever had at a hotel Overall excellent and only a 5 min walk to the marina.

For a 4 star hotel i expected better. No Gym, No pool. Min 10-15 min walking to closest beach with out any sun chairs. Rooms are good, but bad sound proof windows and doors. Noicy trafic outside that can easilly be heard even with closed window.

Superb. We only staying one night on our way to the islands but what a great night it was. The hotel is well situated, very well appointed and really well run. The rooftop bar and dining area is spectacular as is the breakfast which is served there in the morning. Restaurants and bars are ten minutes walk away and located in a lovely crescent harbour. Oh, and you can see the Acropolis from the rooftop, yes you can.

Huge shout out to Anisa who worked at the restaurant she was so nice and helpful. The food and drink were good. Very clean; comfortable rooms and fabulous shower. It was close to Piraeus center and restaurants.

Very nice, clean, restaurant on the roof was convenient and very good! We only stayed one night after our cruise and enjoyed the views. The only caveat was there was a basketball game that the local team won and till the wee hours of the morning there was a lot of loud celebrations going on. With 2 large stadiums nearby, you might want to check the sports schedule, lol. All in all everything went well.

Clean convenient great staff

No pool, no gym, I expected more for a 4star hotel when it's far from a beach.

Chic Lille moderne veldrevet hotel med den skønneste udsigt og lækker rooftop bar/restaurant. Mikrolimanos er et dejligt roligt sted i sammenligning med resten af det ellers meget travle Piraeus. Eneste lille minus er trafikstøjen fra vejen mellem hotellet og havnen.

The Alex was charming, clean and centrally located. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The views are spectacular, especially from the rooftop restaurant/bar. The food was delicious and the staff was wonderfully accommodating and polite. I highly recommend this hotel to any travelers going to Piraeus.
