It’s a pub with rooms, the room I was in was spotlessly clean. Normal pub noise then quiet at 11 and silent by 11:30. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Simply the worst Hotel experience I have ever had anywhere in the world! When I checked in the hotel staff was rude and his body language suggested they did not want me to be there. I was given the keys to the room (it looked ok at a glance and the room room temperature was warm). I left for a few hours for dinner and upon my return, the room was stone cold, almost as cold as outside (the temperature outside was below zero with snow). The central heating had been turned off, there was no way for me to turn it back on, and all the staff had gone home. Nobody answered the emergency night phone number or replied to my text messages. I was forced out into the cold at 4am to find alternative accommodation because I could not take the cold any longer. The hotel sent a blunt text the next day simply asking for the room key and did not apologise. I used none of the facilities including the bed and yet the hotel refused a refund for the room! Dirty carpets, outdated decor... simply the worst hotel ever!!

Booked on the last minute for a relative, landlord was very approachable and accommodating..room was larger than expected, very clean with en-suite, tea & coffee making facilities

The room was a nice size. There was 1 mug for 2 people. It was an ideal location for an event we were attending nearby.

Really enjoyed my stay above a pub! I was made comfy in the bar and the beer and whisky served was excellent. Massive amounts of Coffee and Tea provided and across the road was a friendly pizza take away . Massive room with a private entrance and a great shower. The room was an upmarket bed sit and only negative with it being a pub stay was noise in the back yard which was acceptable Good transport connections buy public service bus outside of the Sportsman to Blackpool via Accrington, Blackburn and Preston and Manchester via Rochdale

The property was perfectly adequate. Nothing else to wish for.

Great place to stay was warmly welcomed and the staff were very helpful would highly recommend this place for those that wish to have a good night sleep.

We booked in late August here as lots of other places were booked up. We were not disturbed once we were shown upstairs and the room was comfortable. The noise level was not great but expected as it was a pub downstairs.

The sportsman's B&B was a very nice place the stuff was lovely couldn't do enough for you...the room was lovely an clean we really enjoyed are stay there...we will be definitely booking to stay again sometime soon 👍
