Amazing property and wonderful staff

Das Hotel ist schön und das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Das Hotel steht jedoch in der hintersten Reihe, nicht wie auf den Bildern vermittelt wird in der vorderen Front. Der Ort Vik selbst wird zum Touristenzentrum, es wird sehr viel gebaut.

Stayed one night, didn’t spend much time in hotel but everything met our expectations.

Fint værelse. Udsigt til havet / bjerget. Vin er dog en meget uskøn by. Morgenmaden var meget uinteressant.

Man muss zwischen Gemeinschaftsräumen und Zimmern unterscheiden: Die Gemeinschaftsräume sind gepflegt, das Zimmer, das wir hatten, hatte ein winziges Badezimmer, unpraktisch --Dusche auf Höhe mit dem Boden, nach dem Duschen war alles nass, Platzmangel, Geruch nicht idyllisch - und sicherlich nicht angemessen für den für das Zimmer bezahlten Preis.

Very comfortable large room with an excellent bathroom. Nice breakfast too. Couldn’t have been better. Impressed that they agreed to refund one night when we couldn’t get to Vik due to road closures down to horrific weather!

We are very grateful to the front desk staff. During our two-night stay, they kindly called to notify us when the northern lights were visible. In addition, the breakfast was excellent.

Everything was great. They gave us a wake up call when the northern lights came out.

Very clean room and helpful staff. The breakfast buffet was very good and There is also a very nice lounge on the ground floor if you wanted to relax or work.

The hotel looks nice from the outside and is in a convenient place. Free parking was great, especially coming from Reykjavik. Staff was super friendly and was actively proposing to wake us for auroras. Unfortunately, we had one of the „older“ rooms in the building. They were not as pretty, which is okay, but the window was directly facing the entrance, people were smoking in front of the window. We had to keep the curtains closed, but lightning was too dark. On top of that, you could hear everything in the rooms next to us. People talking, laughing, showering, sleeping. It was a little bit draining on our energy and sleep. Breakfast was nice, had everything needed and the breakfast room was pretty. Would book again, but only if I was guaranteed a more soundproof room on a floor that’s not on the ground level. Since we only came for 1 night, it was bearable.
