Great place, love to come back again and possibly stay longer than couple days. The only suggestion I have is to work on improving customer service specially on the food & drink areas. I think the staff can be more welcoming and smiling to customers. When their face is not welcoming then it seems like they are not happy with their job.

I significantly decrease my rating for the place, because as usual I learned that with politeness you get nowhere in Royal Baobab. Garden is beautiful, food is ok, beach is nice. That all stays. The workers there are awesome people. But as well stays that the weakest point of the facility is "management" staff. I faced unpleasant problem: in my room, there was only hot, boiling water getting out of the taps. No cold one. As we arrived little late, I left it to morning (might be some lack of water, or might solve itself.. TIA), but being there with little baby, it started to be serious problem. I attended twice Reception and once - I guess cleaners manager - during the day, but only achived that arriving maintenace stated "low pressure" without further action. I spent all day trying to sort out crap that is not my issue, so when came really agitated at 18:00, unable to wash my tiny kid and as well not able to reach any conclusion, one of reception staff had audacity to lecture me about my attitude. I guess that considering the price and the fact I was more than polite for the whole day without hygiene, this is beyond any red line. I did as well heard in one moment, that reception staff is not responsible for that. Sorry. You are. Majority of staff is awesome in this place, they do their job awesomly. But management just sucks. If you do not need specific (larger) room, I recommend any comptetition, or just AirB&B, will be not disappointed.

The beach staff can be a little overbearing - the beach staff (while good security) are watching every step you take… headed to the ocean, making sure you don’t move a towel that has been sitting on a chair for 3 hours - ha! The concierge staff is really good though… kind and caring. Desk staff can be blunt and got us a bad taxi ride to the airport

very nice stay at Horizon Baobab. The location is a key advantage, just by the laguna, with stunning views and great wildlife to spot. The resort is very clean and well maintained and very dedicated service from the staff. One downside would be the poor access to wifi from the rooms. Great animations are proposed and options for surrounding sightseeing arrangement are also available.

Uma excelente experiência à beira mar, no Senegal. Resort com uma boa infraestrutura, equipe atenciosa e sorridente. Acomodações simples, mas aconchegantes (carecem de uma modernizada), com ótima qualidade de sono. A equipe de entretenimento muito boa, o Resort oferece show durante às noites de finai de semana que são muito bacanas e valem a pena. A comida é bem feita e diversificada, porém, para um "Resort All Inclusive", seria preciso manter uma infraestrutura de alimentação ao longo de todo o dia, desde o café da manhã até pós o jantar, como os demais da categoria, caso contrário, seria um "Resort com pensão completa"!! Sentimos falta de opções disponíveis entre as refeições. Apesar de dispor de um leque de bebidas disponíveis o dia todo, a qualidade das bebidas deixa um pouco a desejar, pois só havia 1 tipo de cerveja e estava quase sempre quente! As demais bebidas alcóolicas não eram conhecidas. No geral à uma boa opção para quem vem ao Senegal, mas não surpreende muito, pelos detalhes.

The place is very nice, cottages in garden, nice beach. However, I do not appreciate much staff in restaurant where food is served. They usually bored, borderline rude and seem to be annoyed by existence of clients. Similar for bars. Security, janitors and reception staff are usually ok and friendly. From Dakar, I recommend travel during the week to avoid usual terrible traffic out and in Dakar.

The beach view was unbelivable. The room and food was excellent.

Very beautiful place, the rooms were clean. The stuff was terrible, zero smile and unless you speak French they won’t even try to communicate with you!

Make the pool away the main restaurant to a silent pool

Our stay at Royal Horizon Baobab in La Somone was truly unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by the kindest, most polite and professional staff across all services — kitchen, waiters, animation, cleaning, and security. Everyone made us feel at home. The food was absolutely amazing, with diverse and delicious choices every day. The pool area was spotless, with comfortable sunbeds perfect for relaxing while enjoying the beautiful surroundings and stunning views. There were plenty of fun activities and entertainment programs to keep everyone engaged. The location is ideal, with the village nearby and exciting experiences like Bandia animal reserve, quad rides, and boat trips in the Somone Lagoon. A special shout-out to Issa, Tina, Amadou, Mata, and Ismael from the animation team, and to Pape and Adama from the waiting team — you made our stay extra special! Highly recommended!

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Die Aussicht war sehr schön. Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt. Viele vom Personal haben sich große Mühe gegeben und andere hat der Gast nicht interessiert.

Quel bonheur ce séjour au Royal Horizon Baobab. Le personnel aux petits soins, toujours souriants et agréables. Aliou au restaurant est d'une gentillesse exceptionnelle. L'équipe d'animation au top avec une coup de coeur pour Tina 😍 Nous reviendrons, c'est sûr.

Personnel courtois, chambre spacieuse mais qui sentait extrêmement fort la peinture (probablement un mystere local pourquoi repeindre l'interieur des chambres durant la saison seche alors que l'hotel est complet plutot que pendant la saison creuse....), restaurant inclus : nourriture très moyenne : fade. Les pseudo specialtes locales ne sont qu'une pale copie de la réalité, alloco pas cuit, poulet yassa insipide etc, par contre un choix important de plat L'hotel dispose d'une vue exceptionnelle sur la mer
