The sea cliff is always amazing! I will return!

Nice hotel

This is a beautiful property and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. But I almost reduced the number of stars in my review from 5 to 4 for one thing. The breakfast each day is held on a covered patio outdoors. It could use a better variety of food, but the real issue was this: Flies. The food, except for the bread, is entirely uncovered and there were flies crawling all over it. One employee was half-heartedly trying occasionally to shoo them away, to no avail. I realize this is Africa and perhaps health concerns are not the same as in the western world. But this situation quite frankly is disgusting. Flies transfer all sorts of bacteria and viruses from filth in the area and deposit it when they crawl all over food. No one in their right mind should be allowing flies to land of food that is going to be consumed. I suggest the management address this immediately by keeping the buffet INDOORS and the food covered by dish covers and and cloths. This makes me wonder: If there is this little regard for health and sanitation at breakfast, what other dangerous and disgusting procedures are happening in the kitchen? One last word: The staff at breakfast are exceedingly helpful....TOO helpful. I don't need to be interrupted 8 times at breakfast to be asked if I need anything. I don't need anyone to help me feed the toast through the toaster. Just back off a little, please.

The staff were very welcoming and the room was clean and cool! Compared to nearby hotels in Dar where I found the rooms a bit musty and the bed less comfortable, Sea Cliff was great!

Check in was done without explanation of the room etc. The sitting are by the lobby smelled damp and terrible. I was very very disappointed with the breakfast for the money I paid for this resort. Renovation was being done so very noisy and we were not informed of this when we booked this hotel in Expedia. Disappointed with this hotel I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

The overall experience at the hotel was great, according to my parents’ feedback. However, there was a booking issue—I accidentally reserved two king rooms for three people instead of four. As a result, they charged us an extra fee for the additional person, even though the rooms were well within capacity. From my experience in other countries, hotels usually don’t charge extra as long as the number of guests doesn’t exceed the room limit. So this felt a bit unreasonable—almost like they were trying to take advantage of us. We ended up paying an extra $40. It’s not a huge amount, but it left a bad impression.

Loved my stay. I wasn't around during the day so I can't comment on the renovation noise but the pool wasn't busy and in a lovely spot. My room had the best view and the hotel staff was constantly checking in on how things were going and wanted to know if they could do anything to make my stay better. I would absolutely stay again!

I stayed there for 3 nights and I did not see house keeping. I notified front desk about it and was told house keeping will be there shortly. What a lie that was. The first night I was there , I was told I could not eat in the restaurants because they had reservations. I have never heard such a thing. They don’t have variety of food either.

The view is amazing, the breakfast could be much better.

The hotel is under construction, which did make it a bit noisy at some places. But the manager did everything to make me feel comfortable, and she did give a room away from the construction. All the staff are very friendly and helpful. I will definitely come back. Was a pleasure staying there

We are repeat customers and we’ve always had a great experience here! Excellent customer service, beautiful facilities, and great food on-site with incredible scenery. Watching the sunrise through a sea view window is worth a visit by itself! The only critique I’d have is that the hot water doesn’t get very hot in the shower/bath, but you do have a kettle available if need be. Besides that, this is a hotel I’d recommend for a true luxury experience!

Had the Moroccan scrub and massage - felt wonderful but I was a little worried about all the water wasted. The room was also a bit cool - might have been nice for it to be lightly steamy (like a mild sauna).

I always love to stay at Sea Cliff when I'm in Dar. Wonderful staff and excellent location!

Room was spacious and comfortable. However the lack of any water pressure or hot water was very annoying. Also, only one or two TV channels ever worked.
