express my deep dissatisfaction with my recent stay at Hyatt Ziva Montego Bay. My experience at your property was far below the standards expected from a Hyatt resort, and I feel compelled to bring several serious issues to your attention.
First and foremost, the condition of the building is unacceptable. The facility is extremely outdated, and upon entering our room, we were met with a foul odor. The room itself was in poor condition, showing visible signs of neglect — including cockroaches and mold, even inside the air conditioning unit. This presents a serious health hazard, especially since we were traveling with young children (ages 3 and 6). Despite raising these concerns with the manager, Russell, we were only offered a room change within the same building, which did not resolve the issue as the same problems persisted.
In addition to the unsanitary conditions, we were overcharged by $750 for our children, even though there was a promotional offer stating that kids stay free. We traveled as part of a group of six families. The children’s charges were waived for the other five families, despite our stay being only one night longer. Expedia reached out to your staff to confirm the promotional policy and requested authorization to issue us a refund, which your management team declined without justification.
