I cannot say enough good things about Travessia. The location is absolutely stunning, the food is amazing, and the staff are so kind and thoughtful. Travessia is truly a place to get away from it all and I am so appreciative of our time there. We loved that it was an eco-lodge using solar energy and was also working with the local community to be a force for good. We travel a lot, but this may be my favorite place we have ever stayed.

The little lodge with the 2 wonderful managers made our stay great! Our lodge was very nice, had a great view and all the luxuries. It was nice to make walks on the beach. The managers arranged a nice tour to the local village. They do everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It's a great place for relaxation.

My family and I have stayed in many 5* hotels around the world but, by far, this has to be one of the loveliest places we have ever visited. One night was just not enough and, should we visit Mozambique again, we will be sure to allocate the time to fully appreciate everything this lovely hotel has to offer. If you find yourself in this area (with a 4x4 car), I highly recommend Travessia Beach Lodge.

Not sure what to expect in such a remote pocket of the world, I was totally unprepared for the warm hospitality, exceptional service and fabulous facilities. An awesome location for isolation if you like peaceful quiet without sacrificing comfort. We stayed in winter so pretty well had the resort to ourselves. Staff surprised us, bringing drinks down to the beach. All meals were top quality. Only warning... 4WD to arrive is necessary but don't be put off by the challenging access! Definitely worth the effort and staff can assist if you get stuck. Current managers due to move on in May 2017 - my compliments and very best wishes to them going forward. Good luck to owners to replace them!
