A lovely, clean and friendly hotel. We had a standard room which although lovely was a little too small for us, fine for 1 night but would book a larger room next time. Nice, well maintained hotel though.

Outstanding. Ideally located, plenty of free onsite parking, decor beautiful, room was clean as a whistle and bed was so comfy I didn’t want to get out! 10/10 from me.

Had a lovely stay at this hotel. Staff were outstanding. The room we had was lovely and clean and had everything we needed and more. We are in the inside restaurant/bar and the food was lovely. We also payed on arrival for breakfast and this was well worth it

This was our 3rd visit to GNH. Previous visits were good, this time not so much. We were in Room 214 which is definitely the smallest, most awkward hotel room we have ever been in. When lying in bed the window wall on your RHS cuts into the room from the window sill up to the ceiling at 60 degrees. The headboard wall was the same. The TV was on the wall opposite the window running parallel with the bed? so you had to look over your left shoulder to see it. The tea tray/ kettle was situated on top of the safe in the corner where the window wall meets the Toilet wall. There was no socket for the kettle so a space had to be cleared on the desk top under the TV. To do this the table lamp had to be unplugged and placed on the floor. The shower leaked onto the bathroom floor. There was someone’s black sock, size 12 lying under the shelf underneath the safe when we arrived. It was stood there when we left. The noise at night was terrible. It started after closing time when other guests were returning to their rooms for a party. Screaming and shouting, doors slamming etc. Luckily we were only booked for 2 nights. The first night was bad enough but the second night was worse. To be fair I heard the night porter telling them to quite down on the second night. Almost all of the Car Park perimeter is surrounded by huge trees from adjacent properties which haven’t been trimmed for years resulting in many of the hotel guests cars being covered in sticky leaves and sap etc. Nightmare!!

On arrival the man in reception was very welcoming, very pleasant. In fact all the receptionists were very friendly and efficient. The room was standard so not so big though it was very nice. I can’t understand how my sister booked the same type of room on the same date through hotels.com but at a much cheaper price than us.

Fantastic value and great little hotel. Furnishings are modern and if a good standard. Very clean and lovely toiletries

Only one night room was good clean and pleasant only thing it was a bit to hot.

The hotel itself was fine. The food in both restaurants was ok. Nothing outstanding. Too far away from Newcastle to walk into town. It was a good value for the money.

Great room, very helpful staff and perfect location to be close to Gosforth Civic theatre for a family wedding

Really nice rooms with clean, modern interiors and comfortable temperature. Breakfast was a disappointment, I chose the buffet which for £13 was uninspired, reconstituted scrambled eggs, rubbery sausage and bready croissants. Perhaps ordering off the a la carte menu would have been better?

Very pleased overall with my stay.Well maintained room by all the girls. Comfortable bed and i was at the back so qiuet( ish).Freindly secretaries with a nice welcome.Very handy bus stops and frequent ,Newcastle only 15 minutes on the bus.Nice pub next door serving lovely food ,and staff were friendly sociable.I would definitely go back to this hotel.

Chambre spacieuse et confortable. Hôtel sur 2 niveaux, très appréciable. L'insonorisation est absente surtout par rapport aux bruits dans le couloir. On entend le claquement des portes et les conversations. Le coffre fort mis à disposition est inutilisable même après 2 interventions du technicien. On a finalement laissé tomber. Bon rapport qualité prix.

Before you book, make sure to check the fine print. I booked breakfast with the room only to discover the hotel serves breakfast beginning at 8 a.m., which was after I needed to check out. The hotel would not refund the meal. The hotel is very quiet. The rooms are small by American standards but tastefully decorated. The bed, however, was not comfortable. I booked a king bed but the bed provided was two twins, which left a canyon in the middle to roll into. There are also no guest services to speak of: no lobby, etc.
