Absolutely gorgeous place to stay. This is the 5th time we have been and will definitely be returning. The rooms are immaculate and the food is gorgeous. The staff make us feel so welcome every time.

We arrived to a warm welcome super quick check in and a spacious nicely decorated room. The bed was very comfortable. Evening meal was excellent. What more could you ask. Highly recommended.

A lovely place, peaceful and comfortable with friendly helpful staff. The en-suite shower was wonderful. I would give this place 10/10 all round.

The stay was excellent and the staff really friendly and helpful. On the day we stayed there was no evening meal available so we had an excellent meal in Bedale.

It was an overnight stay en route to our home. Room was clean and comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast; both of a high standard. Service was very good. The Inn is located in a small village in a lovely part of Yorkshire.

One night sop over and thought it was fantastic and well run would recommend it

2 night stay, 19th & 20th August 2020. What a great find! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the EGD, excellent all round. Nice location, excellent hosts, lovely room, great breakfast, tasty restaurant food, very friendly and cosy atmosphere in the bar and restaurant, spotlessly clean everywhere. Hopefully, we'll go back one day. Massive thanks and good luck to Tom & Becci in the future.

A lovely country pub!! Great outdoor area, rooms are beautifully done out. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Great walks nearby. Food was delicious!!

Excellent service, very clean bathroom and room. The breakfast included was lovely and the pub attached servers top notch food. Only downside would be the emergency light in the room, has a small green light that is constantly on and very bright which is quite annoying when sleeping. But can’t be helped as it is probably mandatory for the pub to have.
