The hotel is extremely run down and very, very shabby. Nothing at all like the photos online. There is one very small lift working (fit for 2 small people). Rooms are only cleaned if you request it-although we were not advised on check in. So nothing is replenished or bins not emptied for the duration. Our bathroom sink was blocked, there was no soap in the dispenser, paint is peeling everywhere, dirty carpets. I literally could go on. Such a shame as all the staff we met were lovely and really helpful.

Lift was broken. Room wasn’t cleaned. Mould, dust everywhere and the building looks like it’s going to collapse

The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The carpet was stained. The tea and coffee was good. Car parking could be an issue as it has limited spaces. You cannot pre book its first come gets the spaces. Breakfast was good. I would use the hotel again. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Room was clean, a little tired but it’s an old hotel. The staff were great and the breakfast is outstanding together with dinner. The Burlington is my go to when I visit Eastbourne

Hotellet viste seg å ikke stemme helt med bildene. Rimelig nedslitt ute og inne. Noen rom var sannsynligvis ny oppusset men vi hadde 1 rom og begge var slitt og umoderne. Anbefaler ikke å besøke midt i hetebølge da det ikke er air-conditioning bare små vifter. Baderommet vi hadde var så smal at du måtte virkelig gå ut for å skifte "meningen". Og er du litt bred, kom du ikke inn🙄

Location and view from our room fantastic. On checking in we were not informed by reception that if we wanted our room served that we had to ask !!!!!!No disabled toilet facility on ground floor and only one lift working which was very inconvenient in busy times. I had to access my mobilty scooter through Dining room to get out of the Hotel. Not nice for myself or the Diners .Rooms very spacious but tired. We were moved from original room on 1st floor as shower did not work and the bath did not have grab bars. The staff in general were lovely polite helpful and do the best for holiday makers in a very dated Hotel. We were told by member of staff that there are plans for refurbishment and we would consider trying this hotel again if improvements are made for disabled cliental

We liked the food drinks and entertainment. We did not like the outside of the hotel. Sludge on windows. Weeds every where. Narrow area along the front of the hotel was filthy needed a hose pipe on it. Needs painting every outside.

Can’t believe we had to put in a request to have our room serviced with tea bags and milk, otherwise we would NOT have received them grrrrrrrrr !! ☹️☹️☹️ There is only 2 small lifts servicing SIX FLOORS and one of them was out of order for our entire stay (5 DAYS) causing absolute chaos with long queues and waiting patiently time. These 2 factors spoilt our little break. 😡😡 The catering and bar staff were really nice 👍👍👍 Buffet breakfast also nice 👍👍👍 Will we now return ????????????

Nice clean room in a great location

The property was tired and could do with a makeover

We booked and paid for two nights in a 'Superior double with king-size bed and sea view'. We were struggling to sleep as the bed seemed rather small. Unfortunately, it wasn't until late on the second night that we worked out that our original booking been changed (our docket showed where staff had scrubbed out 'Room 117' and changed it to 'Room 216'. When I went down to question this with the reception staff she was unable to advise me, unable to confirm the size of the bed and, due to other guests who were staying longer than us (probably the reason we were downgraded) was obviously unable to show me room 117. We're angry at being made to feel we've been done and definitely didn't get what we paid for. I don't normally leave negative reviews but needed to make others aware that this happens.

We zijn eerder weggegaan omdat de kamer zeer slecht was. De kamer rook muffig en we kregen allebei last van onze keel. Kennelijk is er sprake van een flink vochtprobleem. Op de gang vlakbij de kamer zaten flinke lekkage plekken. Daarnaast was de vloerbedekking viezig (vlekken op verschillende plekken), deed de ventilator het niet en is het verfwerk erg slecht. Ook bij de entree ziet het hotel er smoezelig en slecht onderhouden uit. De lift is erg krap, en de andere lift werkt niet. De foto's die hier worden getoond zijn niet realistisch.

Excellent location. Really good breakfast. Single room overlooking back of property of good size and with comfortable bed. Lift very small and not exactly reliable, but all in all an excellent choice for me and I would return.

Room okay for price but definitely surface cleaned only and basic maintenance very lacking. Lift was an experience in itself. Good location however

Superior sea view room 212 was comfortable, fan provided, room had three windows.

Et helt utslitt hotell med dårlig renhold. Personalet var supre og frokosten var ok. Flott utsikt. Bildene som vises på Hotels.com er fake, spesielt de fra rommene. Rommene er en katastrofe.

Breakfast was fantastic

Very warm welcome by Sarah on reception, set our stay off to a lovely start. Our room was on the corner of the building, which gave us beautiful sea views & a breeze through the windows which was appreciated in this heatwave. Yes the building is a bit tired with it's decor, but our bathroom was fully modernist, clean & our beds were super comfy. Hotel parking at £6 is a bargain & £10 for a pre booked breakfast was a bargain, we had a wonderful buffet breakfast with plenty of choices. The location is ideal, on the sea front, close to shops, restaurants & a 12 minute easy walk to the theatre. I would happily re visit this hotel, especially due to the lovely staff.

First appearance from outside was off putting, poorly maintained, in fact shabby inside & outside. Quiet night’s sleep considering the hotel was full. Didn’t have a sea view which I was expecting as I paid for a superior room. Staff were polite & helpful.

Only one small lift which the main lift was out of order which was nt good so i had to climb 4 flight of stairs which i had a bad knee now ive had to strap up
