The info about a restaurant and bar onsite is a bit misleading, they have drinks you can purchase and snacks to order, self serve. Some hallways are very dark. Thin coverlet on bed. Someone's open sprite can was in my fridge. The rooms are spacious. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful in reversing a charge made in error, right away.

It is a very unique lodge: beautiful rooms: we found everything we needed and the room was very clean. The hotel left some alcohol samples in the room, which is a great touch, along with apple juices and chocolates. The staff was extremely friendly, and accommodating.

Beautiful historic building. A tad Steven King The Shining about it though but it a good way. Nice people working the desk and bar downstairs. Clean and comfortable. Market right across the street. Coffee shop a short drive away. We were happy to be staying close to the Avenue of the Giants.

Great stay for a couple with pups wanting to see the redwoods on our way south. Very accommodating and happy to see that this building was revived. Wish we had not been too sleepy to try the bar!

The property is very old and smells old. The sheets in our room were dirty with other peoples bodily stuff. But as soon as I informed the staff they gave us a different room from a queen to a king with no additional charge and apologized for the situation

Place and room was clean. Carpet in common areas need replaced.

Scotia Lodge truly is a gem. The place was meticulously restored. The staff was helpful and friendly. Make sure to read about the history of this place!

Very interesting and beautiful inn. And the town of Scotia has an interesting back story. Great base for exploring Northern California redwoods. We stayed there two nights. I would highly recommend.

The worst bathroom ever with flies in cobwebs not cleaned in years, dirty floors, flickering lights. Omg

This property was absolutely beautiful. All of the rooms were unique and very clean. The staff was amazing and very hospitable. Sarah was great with helping me plan out my daughter’s 30th birthday celebration. I would highly recommend staying there.

This historic Inn is lovely, very well appointed & restored accommodations. Excellent service, beautiful upgrade to the property a few years ago. It’s a really quirky and interesting little town with areas of interest to explore, if you stay here, definitely take the time to walk across the bridge it’s a beautiful view. That being said there aren’t really any restaurant options that then other than the hotel but they’re closed during the week in the off-season. The town itself is really unusual and odd but if you’re up here to see the redwoods or drive the avenue it’s a nice place to stay.

Scotia Lodge is a beautiful hotel with fun details in the lobby and rooms!
