Séjour très agréable à l’Windsor Tower Hotel 😊 L’hôtel est juste en face de la plage, ce qui est vraiment pratique. Des serviettes de plage sont mises à disposition gratuitement, ainsi que pour la piscine, et la bagagerie est également disponible sans frais 👍 Le petit-déjeuner était très bon avec énormément de choix. Notre chambre avec vue partielle sur la mer était top, propre et confortable 🌊 L’hôtel se situe également à environ 25 minutes à pied de la rue principale avec les départs d’excursions et à une vingtaine de minutes à pied du métro, ce qui permet de se déplacer assez facilement. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour et nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

The hotel is located in an upscale Neighbourhood that is close to a more private beach with fewer people. It is about a half hour or more depending on traffic from Ipanema and Copacabana beaches. There are restaurants along the main street. There was a Terrace on the 18th floor, which has an excellent view of the city and the multilingual front desk staff is excellent to work with for recommendations and directions. If you want to try the subway it is about a 10 minute Uber ride to the local station and the subway is very simple to take based on my experience in other foreign cities. If you are a senior citizen, you can present your ID to a staff person and ask if they will let you ride free. The ride from the airport is approximately 45 - 60 minutes depending on traffic and the Uber option is the best in my opinion. I took a taxi from the airport mid day and paid $75 Rs. I used the hotel one time for pizza which was excellent, but overall the prices there were a bit inflated and I spent more time checking out local culture and foods in different areas of the city. I would also recommend that you try one of the boat tours along the coast. I enjoyed a sunset cruise, which worked out well for me. I plan to come back when the weather is nicer. I would say that May probably isn't the best time of year weatherwise and my understanding is that November and December are warmer with more sun.

Great place for the price, though a bit noisy. Definitely worth it.
