From before our holiday even started, our hosts were attentive and informative. Mel and Trish were extremely welcoming and helpful. They met my family and I at our drop off location and took us to the guesthouse showing us all the best attractions and places to eat. We felt right at home when we arrived and the room was immaculate, with lovely treats for all of us - the games for the kids was an amazing touch - we loved the fresh milk in the fridge too! From old to young, our hosts went all out for each one of us and we could see all the guests were well looked after. Breakfast was fantastic, sooo delicious and fresh. Plenty of options and nothing felt too much for Trish and Mel who were not fussed by any request, in fact our hosts would arrange solutions before we even had to ask which was just amazing and heartwarming. we felt so safe and comfortable. Property is so close to the beach with lots of eateries around. Downstairs in hotel is a handy tuck shop. Plenty of tea and coffee to keep everyone satisfied. The overall experience was like going from home to home. There is nothing to fault and we feel beyond blessed to have experienced such lovely hosts for our trip. We are already planning our return. My stay at Calm Sea Guesthouse in Weymouth was absolutely wonderful from start to finish. The location couldn't be better—just steps from Weymouth Bay, a short walk to the Jubilee Clock Tower, and minutes from the gorgeous Weymouth Beach. Whether you're planning to explore the Jurassic Coast or simply enjoy the local charm, this guesthouse is a perfect base. The room was beautifully and individually decorated, and the bed was incredibly comfortable—the memory foam mattress and Egyptian cotton sheets made it hard to get up in the morning! I felt so well taken care of with all the thoughtful touches, including complimentary toiletries, a hair dryer, and free Wi-Fi. But what truly made the stay memorable were the hosts, Trish and Mel. They were amazing—so friendly and accommodating. They even went out of their way to grab an ice pack for a sore foot and gave me so many fantastic tips on places to visit and explore in the area. Their warmth and genuine hospitality really stood out. And of course, meeting Little Miss Bow was an extra treat—what a sweetheart! The complimentary English breakfast, served fresh each morning, was delicious and the perfect start to my day. Thank you, Trish and Mel, for a truly lovely stay. I’ll absolutely be back!

Trish and Mel offered an excellent service at their guesthouse, they even met us up at the railway station to provide a short tour of the area. Every morning at breakfast they asked about plans for the day and provided some additional ideas and tips, wanting to make sure their guests get the best possible out of their stay. Five Stars - A Truly Wonderful Stay! We had an amazing experience staying at Clam sea Guesthouse . From the moment we arrived, Mel & Trish made us feel right with their genuine warmth and thoughtful hospitality. The space was spotless, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable—every detail was clearly well thought-out. Mel and Trish went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They were kind, communicative, and always happy to share local tips that made our trip even more special, Whether it was day out exploring or food recommendations. their place was the perfect home base. We can’t recommend them highly enough—thank you both for such a memorable stay!

A wonderful, long weekend away and the sun shone. Mel and Trish were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble and the genuine kindness and helpfulness was a breath of fresh air. Thank you for a great relaxing rest.

As the rooms had been recently refurbished, mine was modern, clean and double glazed. Everything worked properly and there was no shortage of hot water. Breakfast was fine and the hosts were very attentive. It's a short walk to the seafront, not far from the centre of town and a little further to the harbour. There was a decent sized chest of drawers and a little fridge. The wardrobe was just a rail hanging over a shelf and it's likely that long coats would put the shelf out of use for any writing etc. But the owners have made the best of the existing layout.

We highly recommend staying at Mel and Trish’s bed and breakfast! They were exceptional hosts, providing fantastic tips on local activities and even taking the time to show us around the city. The breakfast they served was absolutely delicious, and the peaceful environment ensured we had restful nights - even it‘s only a minute away from the beach. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing and memorable stay.

Went to meet family in Weymouth and never been , amazing find , very good value and lovely people . Room was great , en-suite lovely - lots of choice for breakfast and a great location . To be very picky - some guidance of were to park before we arrived would be great - we drove 6 hours then in circles looking for a space . They were very helpful when we arrived but had to move the car .

A truly wonderful stay at Calm Sea guesthouse. The owners, Mel and Trish couldn’t be more accommodating, providing restaurant recommendations and discounts and nothing was too much trouble. They even opened the kitchen early on the Sunday so I could have a breakfast before an early set off (which was delicious). The room was spotless with lovely extra touches. Fantastic all round

What a lovely find. Very clean and comfortable room. The owners are really lovely and helpful with lots of knowledge about the local area. Dressed the room beautifully. Had tea/coffee and a little fridge with real milk in it. Will definitely stay here again.

Trish and Mel were helpful, humourous, communicative and pleasant hosts providing excellent ideas about what to do and see around Weymouth. The room was in a perfect condition. Breakfast was awesome! If returning to Weymouth one day we definitely would try to stay at Calm Sea!

Absolutely outstanding. Mel and Trish were so accommodating. We arrived late due to traffic and were welcomed with tea and toast. Parking the motorbike could have been a problem but this was sorted as Trish phoned the council for a permit. The couple were full of local knowledge to enhance our stay in Weymouth. Breakfast was excellent and made to order every morning. Great location, just off the main promenade. Would definitely recommend. Mel and Trish always had time for us and were interested in our recommendations too.

A Welcoming & friendly couple, gave area knowledge of directions & eateries. Rooms were very clean & well maintained and decorated to a high standard. The bed was so comfy,that we overslept and nearly missed breakfast. We watched a show at the pavilion & walked alongside the beach, on the promenade to the venue (just a 10 minute ish scenic walk) Would definitely stay again, and recommend this family run B&B.

Just returned from a great weekend in Weymouth. The Calm Sea Guesthouse was a lovely place to stay and the owners Mel and Trish were exceptional hosts, very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble which really added to the whole experience so thank you very much. The guesthouse itself is just tucked back off the main sea front in a quiet street and had everything you needed. On arrival we were greeted by Mel and Trish and after settling into our room Mel very kindly jumped in the car with me to show me where to park, great service. We stayed in the Exclusive Quadruple Room which was very nicely decorated, warm and clean, with the nice touch of fresh milk in the small fridge on arrival. Breakfast was also great with plenty of choice which set you up for the day. I will definitely return and recommend this place to stay

Nice comfortable room, although quite hot as located on top floor. Very clean, great food, friendly owners who provided helpful advice on Weymouth and where to go. We recommend as suitable for families and couples

We had a great time at Calm sea guest house, Mel and Trish were very welcoming, showed us where to park (for free with guest house pass), pointed out the local eateries, we tried Bennett’s fish and chips by the harbour, also Chilli’s Indian restaurant and Gurkha Chinese buffet, all of which we would recommend, very nice breakfast, clean and spacious rooms, and a very well stocked ‘mini’ shop with honesty box. Some beautiful places to visit either by train or bus (some open topped) and bus stop 2 mins walk away. All in all a vey enjoyable stay and would highly recommend, families most welcome too!

Great communication, very hospitable and helpful offering local places to visit and eat at. Perfect location, clean and fresh hotel with all your requirements and more covered . Excellent choice of breakfast and the English breakfast was great. Honesty box to pay for snacks and drinks in the hallway available for all to use. The owners were friendly and ensured that we had the best service during our stay.
