Very good location and amazing staff

The pictures of the property on the website do not match. We booked the property based on the pictures but when we arrived it was completely different not as per our expectations the carpet was dirty and toilets not well maintained. The cupboard was broken . The only thing good was it was very close to beach and the town was walking distance from the property. The receptionist was very friendly and gave us information about places to visit .

The hotel was in an excellent location. The staff were really friendly and helpful. It was a little bit cheap and cheerful, but you get what you pay for. I wasn't execting the Ritz. For the price that I paid, I was really happy with the service and comfort of the room.

Zentral gelegene Unterkunft, das Zimmer war allerdings sehr dreckig (in allen drei Betten Haare, hinter der Klobrille nicht geputzt, Haare in der Wanne etc.), das WLAN läuft nicht stabil und man fliegt immer wieder raus

Very disappointing, we booked this based on the photos online and our room was far from it. Dirty carpet, dirty linen and the furniture was old and has seen better times. Room and hotel needs a good clean and new lick of paint. Only plus is location.

Reception staff were friendly. However the photo's on your web site do not represent the actual condition of the hotel and it's rooms.

Absolutely disgusting and run down hotel. Room we were given nothing like the pictures online, room was a standard room but it was unclean, dated, unsafe and not to a standard. Half boarded up window, mould in the bathroom, broken electrical socket hanging of the wall, bed looked disgusting and bedsheet not fitted properly. This building isn't safety compliant. We left after looking at the room guy on reception didn't care at all. Will be expecting a full refund

Cramped room, bed so worn out it was like a hammock, on arrival a very sketchy group of people on the doorstep.

The hotel was in a stare of disrepair and Dirty didn't like the reception I received when I was checking in I was asked for ID and a further deposit even though I had paid upfront

I have a service Dog as I’m blind registered, I also put all the details in when I made the booking via hotel.com, I’d use the filters too, won’t be using hotel.com again and certainly would never recommend to stay at peas and pebbles in Eastbourne, all they wanted was my online check-in and card info??? When I’d already paid the bill and they don’t offer any room service??? So I rang the hotel directly I explained who I was and that I had a service Dog, all that was said to me on the phone in very poor English was, no pets allowed no pets allowed no pets allowed, do not come here as no pets allowed? I attempted many times to explain my dog is not a pet it is a working dog because I am blind and I was just met with the same response no pets allowed no pets allowed,???

We got to the hotel at 10.20, and no receptionist, because theyve closed. We waited for almoat an hour only to be told we have to additional £10 for a late check in (at 10pm). Most ridiculous things ever. No air condion.or.fan in.a hot weather of 25 degree.

Exterior was not clean.....The room was excellent and staff willing yo please

Had to change rooms as soon as I checked in as there were hairs and dirt in the bed. The second room was a little better but still poorly cleaned. Don’t look under the bed !!

Perfect for a stop over before catching the ferry in Newhaven. With Hotels.com we only paid £26.19 for a double room. Bargain! Round the corner from a great bar, the Bohemian with an excellent DJ set and good vibes. Would stay again, very convenient location and near the sea front. Ample street parking and free after 6pm, can always get a permit from the hotel. Quick easy check on. Room was small but didn’t expect luxury, hot shower but not a ‘power’ shower. Pleasant staff at check in.

The room and bathroom weren’t clean. The man at reception asked me to wait while he finished his cigarette before I could check in.

Would never stay here again

Water pressure in the shower was terrible. Luke warm water too. Very scruffy frontage. Rooms not like the pictures at all . tiny bathroom . Bedding was stained.

The room carpet was filthy. The wardrobe door had piece falling off. Bathroom sliding door off runners and could not be closed. Desk and chair very shabby. Would not recommend.

The place was not tidy, smells awful right from the entrance. Then there was so much fuss about identification and deposit policy which was not worth it looking at the state of the place. It was late and I was so tired so I thought I would manage it since it was just one night, only for me to be kept awake all night by this terrible noise from upstairs. I literally kept awake all night, I almost developed headache. I am going to apply for a refund, it was not worth it.
