Staff were great. Room pretty basic but comfortable and bathroom good. We wanted extra blanket, which we found on top of the wardrobe, was covered in dust / dirt. Extensive breakfast. Chef appeared put out when I asked what was gluten free. Free parking which was a bonus.

Located in the cathedral grounds, as part of the college in a beautiful old building.

One of the best things about this stay was the experience of being in the cathedral close. We loved the atmosphere, the history and being right in the centre of the city. That parking was included was a big factor in choosing this location. The slight downside was that the rooms are very basic and functional. 'Drab' might have been another way to describe ours. The staff were friendly, though, and the breakfast was varied and tasty.

We booked, at a high price, the best room in the hotel. We were given an attic space instead. We were told no other rooms were available. We are now trying to get a refund.

Interesting, inexpensive place to stay, within the walls of the Cathedral close. Staff friendly, breakfast solid, a stone’s throw from the cathedal. Definitely highly recommend for the bargain-minded traveler!

The location is fantastic, right in the cathedral close with onsite parking & very easy access (walkable) to city sights. Lovely, helpful person on reception. However the basic room really is extremely basic, very shabby and old fashioned. You hear people in neighbouring rooms coughing & talking. Another venue for same price might be preferable.

I should have booked a room with a walk-in shower, rather than over the bath.

Sehr freundliche und hilfsbereite Betreiber. Habe sogar den Schlüssel für das Stadttor bekommen um abends nach dem Konzert ins Hotel zu kommen. Das Stadttor war für Fußgänger allerdings noch geöffnet! Hervorzuheben ist die Nähe zur Kathedrale, bzw. die Lage direkt an der Altstadt!!!

Historical building with Salisbury cathedral right next door! Location perfect, super quiet at night, staff great. Beds were comfy, windows opened, rooms simple and clean, some bathroom upgrades are needed though. Would definitely stay here again.

I’ve been staying at Sarum College for many years for a variety of reasons for events within Salisbury. The staff are always friendly & check-in and -out always painless. The ‘Basic’ single rooms are comfy with a sink, single bed, a big cupboard, table/chair and a comfy chair. The bath/shower room & toilet are always very nearby. The included buffet breakfast is fantastic. Whatever you fancy from a cooked breakfast, continental or just fruit or yoghurt. If there’s a big group of people staying and there’s an evening meal planned you can pay for the meal too. Always cooked from scatch and always tasty.
