Phoned ahead 24hrs as instructed on the itinerary, no answer so left a message to say I would be arriving the next day at 4pm (check in from 3pm). Arrived the next day to a locked hotel and both phone numbers I had I received no answer. Luckily 2 guests came out of the hotel and let me in. They said there was no staff on site only the cleaner who had to check then in! The cleaning lady had to come downstairs from cleaning the rooms to check me in! Then I was told that my room wasn’t ready at 16:15 and I had to come back in a little while. Then 2 more couples arrived including 2 pregnant women who had to be checked in by the cleaning lady but had to go and sit down first and wait. I went to park the car then returned later. When I came back there was a guy behind the desk but he couldn’t speak English so had to shout for someone else to come and speak to me. Then another Indian man (I’m assuming was an owner) came to speak to me and said he was sorry about the service but that they were “very busy” Will never stay there again

Shared shower and toilet w neighboring room. This was NOT clear when I made reservation. Never would have stayed there if I knew that. Also, it’s attached to apartment buildings, my windowed faced their entryways, so I couldn’t leave my window open, as the motion sensor light kept coming on until 2 am because there were people in and out of that area, noisy. Not a safe feeling at all. Yuck.

Great position close to city centre and on bus routes. Very helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate needs. Room clean, comfortable, well equipped. Pleasant area. We had a lovely stay there - thank you!

Clean large room, noisy at night but closing the window was effective in reducing that to acceptable levels. Staff were excellent Breakfast was adequate but not extensive.

I booked a one-night stay in an en-suite single room and was very happy by how well-equipped it was—it had everything I needed, from a fan to a kettle. The room was wonderfully quiet and comfortable. The only minor downside is that the window faces east, so blackout curtains would have been a great addition to keep the early morning sun out. Overall, a lovely stay and highly recommended!

Just needed somewhere to sleep and shower for the weekend and this was perfect.

Good location, just behind the train station and a short walk into the centre

Nice place, well maintained and kind stuff. Only small issue is that we were sleeping on the ground floor and could hear the steps from the room upstairs… but I guess that’s something relatively normal in these type of hotels/B&B.

You get what you pay for, clean accommodation helpful staff would stay again

Room was clean and fine for a night’s stay. Bed was ok, shower good. Parking limited and we parked on the street which was fine after 6pm and on a Sunday. Was noisey in the evening and WiFi was very temperamental. Overall I’d say 7/10 but I could only give 4/5 stars as 3 would be a little harsh given the price we paid.

The Marlborough was comfortable, clean and good value. The front desk people were very helpful and let us park the car for an extra day in order to explore Norwich a little more. Thank you!

Yes shops and café very close, i am disabled and had no problem getting to shops, had a great stay and Norwich is a great town.

Pretty basic hotel, but perfectly functional. Very handy location just 5 mins walk from the station.

Yes there were lots of shops. Staff were very friendly - were not aware of children staying

Lovely place to stay, all areas are very clean as was the room . The staff here were all very friendly and helpful. Parking is limited but there os a large payable car park opposite the property. This was our first time here and certainly won't be our last.

Staff was pleasant and friendly, room was clean, cigarette burn on the bedside table and net curtain but overall it suited my weekend away

Staff friendly and helpful, room and bathroom clean. Close to town. Great hotel, will definitely return.
