Dirt fell from the ceiling onto my head while brushing teeth. Limited facilities in room to make a tea and dirty glasses.

Lovely place

Excellent traditional English inn with lots of charm and character. The comfortable, warm room on a freezing January night was most welcome, as were the open log fires in the bar/restaurant. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating and the food was to a very good standard. The Timothy Taylor’s Landlord Bitter was an unexpected bonus !

This was a lovely country pub in a lovely area. It was easily accessible. The room was a good size for a twin and the staff were very friendly. Great for a cosy last minute stay.

Quintessential english pub with good food and no attempt to add the optional tip, a distressing feature of so many eateries. Set in superb countryside this place is charming with friendly hosts.

This B&B was a great little find for our overnight stay. Room was comfortable and clean with a super comfy bed. Staff were welcoming and very helpful. The pub was busy when we arrived and seemed very popular, if you fancy food or a drink it all looked great. Breakfast was the highlight, I had the Avacado on toast and my partner had the cooked breakfast.. one of the best he’d ever had he said!!

Really lovely place, cosy atmosphere in the pub in the evening and the food was excellent. Great service and the room was very nicely done, really comfy bed and great bathroom. Just wish I could have stayed longer!

Comfortable, peaceful, pleasant location. Room and bathroom was clean, would stay again when in that area.

We stayed while walking the South Downs way and were given a warm welcome and a comfortable room.

Great place to stay and convenient for the South Downs Way, I had a very smat bedroom with bath and shower on suite. The food was very good though a bit of a limited menu but enough for most people I would think.

Nice place, good hosts, great breakfast

Staff were disinterested and unhelpful. The room was grubby and needed a good clean, the shower didn't work properly. The countryside views advertised were a road and a car park.

Food was excellent as were the staff. Rooms good but just not 100%.

This is a lovely place to stay run by a great team The wood fired pizzas were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfast menu which was much better than anticipated for the price. The surrounding area is very beautiful too.
