Lovely Hotel at the top of Rye close to the church and the castle. Staff were friendly and helpful the breakfast was excellent with a large choice of items from continental and cooked food avaliiable plus hot drinks or juices.Our room was clean and comfortable perfect for our long weekend stay. I would highly recommend this Hotel.

Hotel was delightful. Location had beautiful views. Room was large and comfortable. Breakfast was nice. Charming staff. My only suggestion it to put an outlet close to the bed for visitors to charge devices yet still have close by.

It was clean and homely. Might need a few renovations as it’s clearly well used over the years like the windows don’t stay open without a stopper which is quite dangerous and the ceilings a bit cracked but not falling apart at all just well lived over the years. The bed was the most comfortable bed Ive ever had the pleasure of sleeping in and the breakfast was delicious. Beautiful view from my room - worth every penny just wish they had a late check out option!

Breakfast good but place tired and feels like it will close anytime

Breakfast menu was very limited in choice. Was okay for our stay, but any longer a stay would be very repetitive

The hotel is in a good position in the old town and the rooms are comfortable, with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. The lino in the bathroom could do with replacing as it was stained. Cleaning staff and breakfast room staff were good and breakfast was good. Hotel was good value.

The location at the top of Rye is unique and amazing. Stairs are hard work but staff and breakfast are great.

I was having trouble finding the hotel and the hotel staff was kind enough to stay with me on the phone, guiding me through the unfamiliar town. So kind! Would stay here again!

I had a great stay in the Hope Anchor hotel. A lovely warm welcoming place in a great location. My room was comfortable and charming and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was enough to last you through till teatime and cooked to order so fresh and tasty. Rye is an amazing place to visit and this hotel is ideally situated to enjoy it.

Lovely hotel and staff - excellent location for walking around the village and right next to very nice pubs

This is probably the dirtiest and most tired hotel room I have ever stayed in. I have taken photos and a written complaint will be forwarded to the hotel. If you are contemplating booking this hotel, do not be fooled by the out of date and fake photos. The dust, dirt, bird droppings and all round cleanliness of the room was appalling. I didn’t use the shower as I was too concerned the flaking paint on the ceiling would fall on my head. I have given this hotel 1 star, only because I could not rank it any less

Trevligt hotel, hjälpsam peŕsonal!

Ideal position for staying in Rye short walk to the town centre. The hotel was but a bit dated on a couple of ares but over we were happy and would recommend it to friends.

Really nice position above the town within reach of lovely bars and restaurants and tourist attractions. Lovely view from the hotel room and great breakfast that was included. We had a superior room which was very spacious and a lovely bed. Only negative was shower had very poor pressure. All in all nice place and would recommend. We'd definitely stay again. We absolutely loved Rye in general aswell.

Lovely hotel large comfy rooms ,pillows nice and bouncy tea ,coffee and biscuits in the room nice products in the bathroom , very clean hotel only cold buffet breakfast due to a gass cooker problem but directed to the george for a cooked breakfast which was perfect would definitly book again.

Lovely small hotel perched up top of Rye overlooking fantastic scenery. Staff welcoming and considerate. Breakfast is served to your personal choices, centred on English traditional style, which is very good. No lift, and some pretty steep stairs for us, so will not suit all. Approach is up a side road, reasonable gradient for luggage on wheels. Rooms a little tired, but its a very old building must be remembered. Bed was absolutely fine with clean linen, bathroom well fitted out with nice shower as well as a separate bath. Clean towels and sundries plentiful. Good wi-fi. Definitely recommend if your fit and healthy. Rye is a little gem, great pubs and restaurants.

Breakfast was poor. Cheap bread and deep fried ingredients. Frozen pastries. No parking. At least 15 mins walk from car park uphill with suitcases. Attic room dated with very small double bed.

Traditional and homely accommodation, just what we were looking for as a place for our family to stay. The location was excellent. The services of the city centre were close by, but the hotel was located on a beautiful street in a quiet environment. The rooms were charming, one of which we used was particularly functional and comfortable. A very good traditional English breakfast, complemented by berries and yoghurt. I couldn't have asked for anything more for breakfast or from the hotel. I can warmly recommend it.
