The cabin was extremely comfortable and warm. The location was perfect for the town and the view of the church and mountains across the fjord was spectacular. We were warmly welcomed and felt nothing was too much trouble. Thoroughly recommended.

Das ganze Guesthouse ist sehr stilvoll, gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Gastgeberin ist sehr herzlich und fürsorglich. Für die Zubereitung von Frühstück und Abendessen (Mikrowelle) ist in der kleinen Küche alles vorhanden. Die Betten sind sehr bequem. Alles sehr gepflegt, einfach perfekt. Unsere beste Unterkunft in Island. Siglufjördur ist ein ruhige, wunderschöne kleiner Stadt.

I stayed in a room with a View! It was really relaxing to stay in this excellent and friendly guesthouse.

We enjoyed our stay at The Herring House. Helga & Dagur were fantastic hosts. Breakfast was great: yogurt, breads, homemade jam, meat, fruit, juice. They kindly provided gluten free bread on request. The need was comfy. The room was dark and very quiet. We had a cabin with its own bathroom. Just be aware that the shower is outdoors and shared.

The accommodations were exactly as advertised. Our cabin was cozy and everything that we could possibly have needed for a two night stay was there for us to use. The owners are awesome hosts and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats with them.

Great pizza just down the street and the guest cabin was super charming. Very quiet and comfortable. Very nice host. 10 out of 10!

The host Helga was amazing. She made our stay perfect. Would recommend to anyone planning on going to Iceland.

Friendly staff that welcomed us on arrival and made sure we were settled away, also pointed out some great options for dinner. The cabins were so cozy with all the amenities you could need. We were sad we only stayed for one night. We highly recommend staying here!

Very nice owners, very clean, like just remodeled, kitchen area was nice with fridge. Very quiet, walking distance to downtown. Was worried about a shared bathroom, but wasn’t an issue, very large bathroom. Would definitely stay again. Walked to the bakery in the morning only 3 blocks nice bakery .

This is the best stay we had in Iceland during a 12-day trip: every thoughtful detail was considered in the private cabin we stayed in and the hosts were welcoming and wonderful. We never wanted to leave this retreat. The hot tub was filled just for us and the host brought us warm cheese and bread in the morning. Incredible view of the fjord, excellent local knowledge and tips provided (in a detailed notebook), would absolutely stay again in the cozy cabin retreat! Loved this place, highly recommend.
