I give the property a B+...maybe A-. The staff were nice and helpful. The check in was a bit late (2pm).

I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Sapphire and truly enjoyed every aspect of the experience. The room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight was the location and breath-taking view of Mombasa town, which added a special touch to my visit. Waking up to the beautiful city scenery and enjoying the views from the room was a memorable part of my stay. The room provided a peaceful and comfortable environment, with a very comfortable bed that ensured a restful night’s sleep after a busy day. The attention to cleanliness, comfort, and detail was exceptional. The hotel’s spa was another highlight of my stay. It provided a calm and relaxing atmosphere, with excellent treatments and professional service that helped me unwind and rejuvenate. The spa experience complemented the overall comfort of the hotel and made my stay even more enjoyable. The staff were exceptional, welcoming, and always ready to assist with genuine kindness and professionalism. Their friendly attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to help with any request made me feel valued and well cared for throughout my stay. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for comfortable accommodation, excellent hospitality, a relaxing spa experience, and beautiful views of Mombasa town. I would gladly return for another stay in the future.

Great service

Very nice hotel. Loved it. The room was spacious and clean. Very lively and food was amazing. Very good service.

A lovely, elegant and well maintained hotel with the friendliest and most helpful staff. My stay was all about relaxing after a trek and it ticked all the boxes for comfort and convenience. The restaurant food was delicious, the beer cold and the evening entertainment top-notch. Would definitely recommend this place.

Very amazing hotel

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had an excellent stay at Hotel Sapphire. The room was exceptionally clean and well maintained, with excellent amenities throughout. The bathroom was spotless and looked amazing, with a great shower and very clean facilities. As a traveler from Canada, I was particularly impressed by the level of cleanliness and overall quality. There were no bugs or bed bugs, and the hotel was maintained to a standard that reminded me of a Marriott hotel. Everything felt comfortable, safe, and welcoming. Hotel Sapphire truly felt like a home away from home. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mombasa and needing to stay in town.

Good hotel location to get to airport

If you’re looking for a solid hotel in the middle of Mombasa Island, this one is a good choice and I’m glad I picked it. (If you’re looking for absolute peace and quiet, you probably shouldn’t be looking in the middle of town.) Staff were all very friendly and overly-helpful. The restaurant had entertainment both nights I was there. If you’re coming in on the SGR train, and transferring to the local train, this hotel is right near the train station in the middle of town (note: the SGR does not go to the middle of town - you have to transfer at the SGR terminus to the local train). Food was good, room worked well, hot water could take a few minutes in the shower. Be prepared for prayer calls in the early morning from nearby mosques (you can hear them pretty much everywhere in town) - if you’re not prepared for them, it can be a little bit of a shocking wake up. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean - some of the pillows were really flat, others were decent. Towels were huge and soft! Overall, would I stay here again if in Mombasa? Yes.

Sehr schönes Frühstücksbuffet inklusive Koch für Spiegelei, Rührei etc. Wir hatten eine Executive-Suite, sehr groß mit kleiner Kocheinheit, Wohnzimmer mit schöner Sitzgruppe und großes Schlafzinmer mit nochmals einer kleinen Sitzecke, Badezimmer ist allerdings eher klein, sehr schön, Top Aircondition.

Super søde personale, flinke og høflige, meget rene værelser, central belegenhed, men et stort problem var at jeg var i Ramadan da, og moske ved siden af, sang meget højt Quran frax18 til 22 og aller væreste fra morgen kl. 4 man kunne høre meget belastende Azan, jeg var 2 nætter der og kunne slet ikke sove. Så jeg ved ikke, om det er altid sådan fordi det var lige ved siden af moske eller det var sådan pga. Ramadan. Men jeg blev sindyg , kunne ikke holde ud.

The photos don’t do the rooms justice. Very comfortable and spacious. The staff are all very attentive and hospitable! Food at the restaurant was also lovely. AC is good and strong in the rooms to cool you down after a day in the Mombasa heat. Well above and beyond expectations for the price.

Everything was perfect, the bed was super comfortable, big shower with hot water, every day different activity at the bar and the most important -all the staff is super nice, attentive and friendly, especially Emily from the customer care. Will be glad to come back again in the future.
