Rooms could use some improvement especially bathrooms

The property would get a full 5 star review except for a few things: 1) There is trash on the beach and outside the property, which is really no fault of theirs, but it's more than just 1-2 pieces of trash. It's not unbearable but it's there 2) The shower head is nice but the flow of water isn't very good and the water temperature was hard to control 3) The security box in my room didn't have clear instructions and didn't seem to work That's pretty much it. Outside that, this is an amazing vacation spot. I'll probably be going being despite the issues. Customer service was amazing and the atmosphere is absolutely perfect for a private place to settle down at night.

I liked the pool, and staff, however i thought the foof was a little expensive for DR especially when the ask in American dollars. I speak pesos in Dominican republic

Un grand merci pour l’accueil chaleureux que j’ai reçu de la part de Margot à mon arrivée au Caribbean Diamond Hôtel. Sa gentillesse et son professionnalisme ont tout de suite fait en sorte que je me sente bien. Ce fut un plaisir de commencer mon séjour dans une si belle ambiance, Muchas gracias por la cálida bienvenida que recibí de Margot a mi llegada al Caribbean Diamond Hotel. Su amabilidad y profesionalismo me hicieron sentir inmediatamente a gusto. Fue un placer comenzar mi estancia en un ambiente tan bonito;

transportation was a bit of a challenge. Trying to get from the hotel to the main tourist area was a challenge. many cab drivers didn't know the location of the hotel.

Room good, but not comfortable as you expected for a hotel in the area. It has a smell of humidity, the bathroom full of oxidation in metal parts. There is no desktop in the room so for a business trip is no easy to work there. The breakfast starts at 9am... or even at 9:30 am, so is not recommended for persons in a business trip. Additionally, the menu is limited (just eggs with bread, and bacon) Woman in charge is not helpfull.

The staff was top notch…accommodating and friendly. Food and drinks on property very tasty and affordable.

We read the reviews prior to booking, so we knew what we were getting. Overall we had a nice stay, as we were literally only there to sleep. We did go in the pool a few times, which was large and adequate. The lounge/bar area was what we expected. Margot the host was very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. And having some drinks there at the end of the day was convenient. The adjacent beach wasn’t usable during our time there based on the tides and shifting sands. But that didn’t matter to us. The area in general is out of the way, but no too far. We never felt unsafe. We actually liked being more ‘local’ than the other resorts in Sosua. The room was worn and tired, and we never had warm water. But again, we expected much of what we got. So there were no surprises. I liked the overall condition and vibe, since we felt we could do what we want without offending anyone. Everyone associated with the hotel were nice and helpful. If I make it back to the DR, and Sosua in general, I would consider staying here again..

I didn't like waiting ten minutes to get warm water and then having it warm for only two minutes or less. Shower doors didn't close properly ans a sliding glass door feel on my head. The cleaning lady left my room door wide open without my permission. Hard, uncomfortable mattress. They had to replace my door handle completely.

El trato fue excelente. Pero en limpieza deben de mejorar.

Charming hotel in a quiet location.

Been to Puerto Plata three times. Stayed here each time. I enjoyed my stay. They keep the rooms clean. The pool is really nice. The hotel is close to the beach. If you are looking for nice, clean hotel with a good price. Look no further, I recommend the Diamond Boutique.

I booked a second night. Older facility but still nice.

There was dried urine on the toilet lid and bugs in the bathroom. The bedsheet had two cigarette burn holes. Upon arriving we advised the manager that we would only be able to stay one night instead of two. He told us that they could refund one night after Expedia contacted them with the request. The next day when we checked out the day manager called the owner to approve the refund and I could clearly hear the owner say, "F...k him, he booked through Expedia. I'm not refunding anything." She then repeated her limited vocabulary, "F..k him!" This place is cheap, and you get what you pay for. It is not nearly as nice as it appears in the pictures.

La propiedad esta muy bien ubicada ya que se encuentra al frente de la playa. Apartada de la ciudad pero al mismo tiempo a pocos metros esta lo que pueda necesitar. La tranquilidad y discrecion es unos de los atractivos mas deceado
