Staff super helpful 👌

Great hotel, staff, breakfast.

Room was relatively well-kept. The shower was nice, though slightly difficult to use. Nothing terrible of note. It is fairly far from points of interest and the breakfast wasn’t great for the price. I would skip breakfast if I were to stay here again.

We had a lovely few days at the Doric, staff were lovely and very helpful. The entertainment was excellent, we enjoyed the outdoor and indoor pools and breakfast was lovely too

We had a sea view room. It was clean and the beds were really comfortable. Staff were welcoming and friendly. I think it should be mentioned that the carpark is alongside the hotel and you need to leave your car keys with reception if you use it. There is parking in front of the hotel and down the side roads but I imagine this gets used quickly during school holidays and weekends. Don’t let this detract from the positives though…staff were friendly, room was clean and comfortable beds. The breakfast was lovely as well…fresh fruit, cereals and yogurts. A few selections for cooked breakfasts were available and all cooked freshly to order. Would definitely stay again when in the area

For the price we paid I can’t complain at all, the staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was all though a little dated was kept clean and the beds comfortable. Our breakfast was included in the price and had everything for all tastes. The only thing that let it down was the swimming pool looking like it needs an update as tiles looking old and off coloured. All in all a place we all said we would go and will be going back too.

Friendly and efficient team, nothing is to much trouble, I have visited the hotel 4 times now . I haven't been let down yet ,Also met lovely people among the guests.

First time at the Doric, we were immediately asked for a £50 a night deposit (£250) in our case which took us by surprise, we are a retired couple so not used to being asked this, booked a Sea View room , it was 3rd floor but were not impressed with the size and the tired look so asked if we could get a better room ( like in the web site ), we also asked if we could have a low floor as the lift is a tiny 2 person lift and could envision waiting a lot, we were offered a 1st floor family room, a lot bigger but also a very dated look and furniture but it was better as we were staying 5 days, we asked if the room could be cleaned as the pillows and sheets looked slept in and carpet needed vacuumed, returned later and wasn’t cleaned, we then noticed most of the floorboards were loose and banging and creaking under the carpet and round the bed it was very bad, it was the same above our room as it sounded like morris dancers having a practice, funny at first but got very wearing, it constantly woke us through night when they moved, even some of our bathroom ceramic tiles are loose as well, very poor maintenance as the public area floors were quiet when walked on, our cleaner ?? Came when she felt like it, even folded wet towels we had left in the shower cubicle to be replaced and hung them back up, never ever seen that in all our years of traveling, she missed our room completely on the third day, nice hotel staff and food is ok but won’t be back due to cleaning issues

We enjoyed our stay at the Doric. Level of cleanliness could be improved to address dusty skirting boards and hand rails and smudgey window in communal areas.

Overall great stay

Room clean and tidy , friendly staff , good entertainment at night for adults and kids . Indoor swimming pool heated but small but have heated outdoor pool too , good family hotel loved it will go again

We had a quick overnight stay at the Doric Hotel whilst attending Lytham Festival. The hotel was excellent. Very nice reception, lounge and bar area. The 3 bed family room was clean and spacious, lovely modern bathroom with a great rainfall shower. The staff at check in and checkout were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice cereal, porridge and fruit along with a full cooked breakfast. A special thank you to Louise who was very attentive and made sure that we had everything we needed. We didn’t use all of the facilities as it was just a quick visit, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the Doric hotel. Great stay for a very reasonable price and wonderful breakfast

The hotel was clean apart from some staining on clean towels. Nice breakfast and staff friendly and helpful. Close to bus and tram. Indoor pool ok. Nice weekend stay.

Very difficult to navigate roons

i thought it was all good , deco , to rooms , staff , pools , only thing i didn’t know it was scottish holidays so lots of kids there and wanted a peace break , so only stayed one night

This was our return visit to the Doric Hotel & as before the staff were very nice especially the dining room lady Una, she was exceptional. I booked 2 sea view rooms in September 2025 but when we arrived in June 2026, our friends were given a side sea room. When we complained they offered to move them the next day (very disappointing as we’d booked months ago & both paid for a sea view room & expecting to be close together but we were on different floors) Rooms were tired & our bathroom had a bad water stench smell. Nice outdoor pool which we were able to take advantage of. Food was very nice & always a good choice. The evening entertainment was very much the same each evening just a different singer & some evenings felt very sorry for them when singing to only 10 people (which one singer described as a furniture sales room). Overall we had a good time but just need to sort out the booking system & update bedroom/bathrooms.

Staff very friendly and helpful, comfy bed, clean and tidy rooms, bins emptied every day, refreshed tea and coffee every day, good selection on breakfast and excellent service by Una x

The Doric really surprised me paid only £90 for me and the grandson Very helpful staff room basic but clean and adequate breakfast very good and very attentive servers will return

Every thing was fine staff lovely the only thing I would ask is plug sockets why can’t they be with usb connection so you can charge your phone etc That’s my only criticism every thing else was lovely

Our stay was great, no issues there my problem the car park, i called the reception at 7am to say i needed my car we were checking out at 745 to be told there wasn't anyone available to move the other cars until later on, which meant i had to leave my car in the carpark and get a taxi to the dance venue and another back costing me extra money which i hadn't budget into my weekend! Plus the extra time getting back to the hotel at the end of a busy day! Xx
