Everything was perfection!

It’s a basic hotel with necessary amenities. There wasn’t anything special. Staff doesn’t interact much with guests and there aren’t many activities on site other than bingo. I would say this particular location is best for older travelers who want to relax in silence.

Concierge Shay 5 stars was best tour guide ever and London was very helpful on all the daily events and support

The only thing we didn't like so much was the lack of housekeeping. We knew that housekeeping came only 2x weekly, but those were on the days we arrived and were leaving

70s themed bathroom but nice to be on the beach

Property is safe, convenient location, clean, staff friendly and communicative, room comfortable, water pressure and hot water always available. Would like to return.

I did not stay long enough, we only stayed one night. We got there at 1 pm but the room was not ready until 4. We could not use any facilities or pool because we did not have room. By the time we get the key the beach lounge and umbrella was not available because it’s only until 5 pm. The check out is at 10 am and you have to take your beach towels to the pool, you cannot leave them in the room. The pool doesn’t open until 9. What a waste of time. This was our last night on the island but I would not stay here again. Our previous hotel at secrets we got there at 1 pm and we got our room at 2pm. And the check out is at 12noon way better

Very nice staff. My room was a studio, ground floor, a bit damp and moldy. Good for a last night after week of sailing - was near airport. Nice pool area. Adorable resort cat lives in the very pretty gardens near the pool. Excellent groundskeepers and gardeners; they cut open a freshly harvested coconut for me to drink the coconut water. I would not recommend staying in one of the ground floor studios (poor airflow and damp), otherwise all was fine. There were very nice people staying in the resort - and vibe was very family oriented.

Location was great, right on Maho beach and close to shops and restaurants. Other beaches accessible by foot or car. Resort staff friendly and helpful.

We had a fantastic stay at the Royal Islander La Plage. The beach access and view from our balcony room was amazing, the property upkeep was top notch, and the staff was friendly and helpful at every turn. The room was a little dated, but the bed was comfortable and our stay couldn’t have been better! And be sure to eat at the Tortuga Maho restaurant on site - it has delicious options for breakfast, lunch and dinner! We will definitely return to this property!

The rooms were clean spacious and well put together. The area was very safe and convenient. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.

This was our third time in St Maarten and our first time staying at the Royal Islander La Plage. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on the island again. The resort was so clean and beautiful. We loved the chairs overlooking the beach and the sparkling clean pool. There were a variety of extra activities available if you felt like it! Easy walking to numerous delicious restaurants. Quiet evenings sitting on our balcony. When our original flights were cancelled due to weather Nina and her staff worked with us to get rebooked. They were calm and oh so helpful! I can’t recommend this place enough and can’t wait to get back!
