Prepare to be swept away! My recent stay at this boutique luxury hotel was nothing short of magical. From the moment I arrived, I was enveloped in a sense of tranquility and pampered luxury. The rooms are an absolute dream – spotlessly clean and boasting a sleek, modern design. Having a private kitchen was such a treat. And the river views! Waking up to that gorgeous vista every morning was simply breathtaking. Speaking of delights, the gourmet five-course dinners were an absolute revelation. Each dish was a masterpiece, a symphony of flavors and textures that left me utterly satisfied and impressed. And breakfast? Equally delicious, a perfect start to each day. The hotel grounds are a verdant paradise. The landscaping is, without a doubt, the most beautiful I've ever encountered. A stunning variety of plants creates a lush and vibrant atmosphere, with hidden pathways leading to natural waterfalls. And the best part? These aren't just for admiring – they're safe for swimming! Imagine taking a refreshing dip in crystal-clear natural waters surrounded by such beauty. There are also pristine pools and inviting hot tubs, perfect for relaxation. And for those seeking a bit of mindful movement, the complimentary yoga classes were a wonderful addition, held in serene settings that enhanced the experience. What an amazing resort!

The service was awesome, the place has so many beautiful flowers and plants its a very happy place. The room i stayed in was a disappointment, no air circulation (no fan nor AC). The temperature outside was nice and cool, but the room does not have good circulation. No blackout curtains, so you wake up early, if you want to or not.

Lovely grounds, comfortable rooms, beautiful views, helpful staff, free yoga, and agoutis at dusk! Plus, two resident kitties to visit with.

Incredible stay! Beautiful surrounding mountains and coupled with a resort style hotel that had beautiful Spanish architecture with a wide array of leisure and spa amenities. The staff were super friendly and the owner was warm and welcoming. We will definitely be revisiting for a longer stay next time!

Everyone was very very nice! Property was beautiful. Only think I regret is not being there longer to take advantage of the area and the property.

Es una opción diferente para descansar en armonía con la naturaleza. Se puede bañar sin problemas en el río Chirripó el cual pasa atrás de la propiedad. Personal muy atento y la comida exquisita. Fue una viaje que disfrutamos mucho.

The beautify of this place and the magic of the resort is something I feel words can not do justice!!! The cabins are like something out of a fairy tale .....the area is so beautiful I keep thinking “ oh my god is this real ?” The staff is loving , warm , and give a 5 star experience ! It’s right ON the river and the spa room is basically up against it . Please go here, it’s a healing magic you have to see for yourself !!! ( you probably need 4 wheel drive if you want to explore area )

My wife and I travel extensively and have and have property in Costa Rica. We were told by some Costa Rican friends about Chirripo and decided to take a weekend trip. Staff and service were superior. The owner Frank pays attention to the details and it is reflected throughout. Food was superior and facility and grounds had a true Costa Rican "vibe." Summary - we will recommend for for family and our CR friends.

Rio chirripo lodge is amazing. The property is beautiful, rooms well appointed and service outstanding. We also had several meals at the lodge and the food was delicious. We hope to someday visit again as this is a very special place

This is a beautiful, unique and very special place in the mountains of Costa Rica. Being alongside the Rio Chirripo offers a very special opportunity to swim in the cold and invigorating water of the river, and then warm up in the wood-fired hot tub. The views of the mountains are stunning, as are the many thoughtful details of the grounds and amenities. There is a special magic here and visitors can feel it.

Everything was perfect ! Awesome large property in the mountains with private river. The building is gorgeous, you can swim in the river and all the employees are nice, kind and super helpful. I have a lot of intolerances and they made my stay wonderful taking care of it. Great dinner and breakfast, everything was fresh. I recommend this place 100% Bravo to all the team

Friendly helpful staff. Amazing surroundings and amenities.

We stayed in 2 lodges. The first was the upper Rio Vista which was beautiful, clean and modern. unfortunately, there was a booking problem and the we were moved down to the Spa Vista for the 2nd night which was more 'rustic'. It was also noisy due to the proximity of the adjacent waterfalls which did not help sleep. We were given a meal discount for their mistake. The evening food was vegan and somewhat bland; not particularly enjoyable or cheap. We should have been given notice that the food was vegan. Lastly, there was a large yoga group staying at the same time and it felt that we were 'secondary' to them, particularly at the meal times. OK, but could have been better.
