Staff/owners are trying hard. Very helpful and accommodating.This was a pretty dumpy old hotel that they have really cleaned up. Their rates were good, they accepted pets, as we were traveling with our dog. Room is clean, bed was reasonably comfortable, shower was nice, rain shower head and wand but bathroom is small. Can be a bit noisy, people were chatting outside at 2 in the morning. Popular local restaurant on site (Plates) has good breakfast at reasonable prices. Lobby had a huge screen and lounge, complimentary coffee machine (nice one). Ace Brew pub 2 blocks away, Starbucks adjacent to motel. 5 minute drive to downtown.

Very friendly staff; clean bug room. A lot of the facilities not open because we were there in right season. But looked good!

From check-in to check-out, we were very impressed with the friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms with modern decor.

Room was nice but on the smaller side. The bed was comfortable. The Bathroom is again on the smaller side with the sink separated in the room but the rain fall showerhead was great. Unfortunately I didn't noticed there appeared to be black mold on the window sills until i checked out. For that reason alone I wouldn't stay again. Location was good, close to everything and a great breakfast place on property.

Room service was absolutely wonderful. They even plugged in my headphones because I had them laying there and they were fully charged when I got back to the hotel staff was really lovely and very helpful in the hotel room was very nice and up to great standards

Even though it was a pet room, it was sparkling clean. They pay attention to detail.

The most outstanding thing about my stay was Sou at the front desk. He was incredibly professional, friendly, & helpful. The recent upgrade to the building inside & out is well done & takes this basic hotel to another level.

Ideal place to stay enroute from Victoria to Port Hardy. Clean and convenient, with a friendly and helpful staff.

Front desk staff was poliet, courtieous, knowledgeable. Hotel was clean and welcoming like the site pictures. Rainfall showerhead was amazing after a long busy day. Coffee and water service at the front desk and a nice outdoor seating with fire bowl completes and amazing stay. We will be back.

The staff were very friendly however this is not a hotel but a motel. Room was clean enough but it is very dark and smelled of cigarettes.

We were in Courtney for the Half marathon and it was a great place to stay.
