Excellent hotel to stay,room was absolutely spotless, as was bathroom. Only 1 very slight niggle, meal took to long from order to table. Overview it's a great place to stay. Looking forward to my next a couple of weeks

Lovely hotel Kiki

I have enjoyed previous stays here in the past, however, the last stay was disappointing. There was only one member of staff and she was more focused on serving customers at the bar. The bar is also incredibly noisy. It would be really helpful if there was another area to wait in if you don’t want to stand in a noisy bar. I was also woken up at 5am by people having a loud conversation outside my room.

It was amazing to return after a year and be greeted by staff that remembered you. This is truly one of the nicest hotels in the uk. Great rooms, great pub, great foodies. Love Love Love

Very convenient location right opposite the train station, and about 10 minutes walk into the town centre. Friendly and efficient service, room was really clean and comfortable, great walk in shower. The only downside was a not particularly nice view as i was in a room on the ground floor, but last time i stayed it was on the 2nd floor and looked out over the pub garden. Both times i stayed i had a really good night's sleep.

The hotel itself was pretty much spot on, ideally located next to the station. A clean, quiet comfortable room and freshly renovated to a good standard. The food served was beautiful and half price Monday was brilliant. The breakfast in my opinion needs to be served a little earlier to accommodate early workers. The only place this hotel let itself down was how loose some of the staff were. Their work place seemed an extension of their social life and it manifested as they weren’t all that interested in serving customers. One male member of staff with a beard was quite rude with regards to a request for a receipt whilst showing off to the locals, and could probably do with some extra training within the people skills area of hospitality.

The rooms are well thought out and characterful. Very clean and the staff have been incredibly helpful.

Room was very nice (just been refurbished) good bathroom excellent shower. Breakfast very good location is good (especially if you are using train)..... I only have one issue parking you have to pay .. Approx £10 for 24hrs.........in council car park down the road.......

I had a lovely room on the 1st floor. As a solo traveller, the hotel gives the local Premier Inn a run for its money.

The team at the Railway Hotel are very friendly and relaxed. My room was spotless and had great decor, comfortable bed and enough space to get some work done too. Breakfast was excellent as are the brewery's beers on tap. Definitely recommend for leisure or work.

Das Zimmer war super komfortabel, sauber und sehr schön eingerichtet. Essen und Frühstück im Pub war lecker und bezahlbar. Großes Lob an das freundliche Personal!

Nice hotel. Have stayed here a few times. Was a little noisy as this time had a room above the bar. The ground floor rooms are always amazing.

Love the railway, I’ve stayed here 3 times and it’s my go to hotel in the area lovely staff and room with everything you could need and good food on site too

What a great place to stay , slightly quirky , we had a standard room and it beats the local Travel Tavern by miles. Great looking pub downstairs ( we were on the second floor) and the breakfast was excellent . Staff were routinely friendly , very polite and very helpful.

Beautifully restored heritage pub with quality materials, great service (thanks sidney) , Harveys on tap, great breakfasts and lovely location opposite the train station and walking distance to the sea
