My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at The Harbourmaster. The staff were super friendly and had time for all the guests. Accommodation was clean and spacious, basically as per the pictures on their website, so we were very happy. Our room had a view over the harbour which we enjoyed. The food and service in the restaurant was top notch. We dined there both nights we stayed and it was delicious.

A really lovely spot to explore Aberaeron and the area. Excellent food in the evening and at breakfast with friendly staff to look after you. Definitely coming back when we are next in the area.

Brilliant weekend break Loved every minute of it

It's a welcoming small hotel with friendly, helpful staff in a beautiful harbour location. There's a buzzing bar area with tables, and a separate dining room for guests - both serving the same menus. Fantastic base for enjoying and exploring the area

Lovely stay fantastic position

Only stayed for one night but next time will stay longer. Room was great with balcony which had sea views and a pleasant breeze. The car park is only big enough for a few cars with a cliff charging stations but there is plenty of free parking around the hotel. Fantastic location on edge of harbour and close to everything.

Lovely hotel, well located in Abersoch, lovely room looking out on to the bay. All staff were just great. Restaurant was excellent. Will definitely go again.

Lovely stay rooms well appointed and food excellent

Fab stay lovely view of the river .Room nicely decorated with comfy bed and sofa in the room. Food in the restaurant was exceptional my lamb dish was amazing. Dessert was yum rice pudding rhubarb pieces and rhubarb sorbet. We will definitely be staying again. Plenty of choice at breakfast attentive staff.

We stayed in the self catering apartment linked to the hotel. It was spotless, very well furnished and appointed with a full range of appliances. I would have scored 5 stars across the board but for my reluctance to rule out scope for improvement, although our experience during our short break was perfect.

We did not stay in main hotel but in a flat across town up a rusty fire escape. The staff have had little or no training in service to clients. We cancelled our evening meal and breakfast. This hotel is a throwback to the 50’s even to the brown decor. Not to be recommended!

Great location and quality place to start and eat

I booked into the hotel for a two night stay as a birthday gift for my wife and what we found was a wonderful experience. The room was ready early and was extremely clean, the staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. We also booked two reservations in the restaurant and I have to say the food was excellent and the breakfast each morning. The bar also had a great atmosphere. My only observation was that the room maybe could have done with a small fridge to keep the milk that was supplied cool overnight but this is only minor. We will definitely be staying again .

Thoroughly enjoyed stay with the staff totally committed to you. One issue that people with mobility issues should be aware of is that they have rooms up 2/3flights of stairs in a spiral configuration (although carpeted), and they should ensure when booking that they are not allocated these 3/4 rooms. (once up there the view the harbour is superb!!) Rooms clean and checked if you require every day, and the food excellent. The free coffee and cake to guests every afternoon was an added bonus. Would recommend it.

The property was very quirky. It was well maintained and the staff were very friendly and helpful. There was not a lot of space for clothes e.g. drawers or shelves for putting clothes, only the one very small wardrobe. If anyone has problems with stairs there was a spiral staircase which was quite tricky. It looks amazing though. The breakfast was very nice, no self service, all brought to the table.

Staff were so helpful, very knowledgable about food choices, we ate in the bar for a relaxed atmosphere and it was perfect. Electric car charging was easy and staff were so accommodating in arranging this. Would absolutely recommend and we will be returning to those stunning views from our room. Thank you

Breakfast was very good. Highly recommend having dinner in the restaurant. Nice location. Staff was courteous and very friendly.
