Really friendly and helpful landlord/landlady. We arrived on E-bikes and they helped us put them somewhere secure for the night. The room was small but perfect for our one night stay. The double bed did not leave much space either side between bed and wall but apart from putting a smaller bed in thats just how it is. Everything else about the room was perfect. The rooms are what looks like a converted piggery running down the side of the pub. Coming out of the chalet door it was only a few steps to the pub/restaurant door - handy for breakfast. The evening meal and breakfast were excellent. At breakfast I mentioned to the landlady how good the evening meal was and I believe she said her husband was the chef. Obviously, it is situated in a beautiful and peaceful part of the world. The church is right behind the pub and it's a short walk to the village and coastal path.

The room was lovely and in a quiet area - ideal for dogs. All staff were attentive and friendly. The cooked breakfast was very good and the pancakes were even better.

Just had 2 superb nights here. The staff are excellent, and, as a solo traveller with a dog, we were made to feel extremely welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and the walks were just what we needed.

Beautifully appointed, traditional country inn. Superb location, good choice of drinks and an excellent menu. The locals, as well as the staff, are friendly and the rooms cosy. Breakfast is a treat, with excellent coffee and a good choice of dishes. All set on the beautiful and atmospheric Norfolk coast with easy parking. I look forward to returning

Rooms were comfortable, pretty and had everything we needed. We had lots of options for breakfast and it was delicious. The hosts are welcoming and the village is so pretty. We loved our stay here.

Friendly greeting. Great home cooked food. Cosy , comfortable accommodation. Great location. Easy parking. We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay , shame it was only for one night. Highly recommended!!

Lovely staff who looked after us and the dog and made us feel really welcome

The landlady and landlord were lovely and could not have been more accommodating for us and our dog. The rooms were clean and beds comfortable. The selection at breakfast was also really good. I thought the price was exceptionally good value and I would definitely stay again when I come back to the area.

Lovely find on North Norfolk Coast, great walking / running routes and pub was brilliant with great hosts Chris and Bev. Food is varied and room was everything we needed!

Pub good. Staff good. Food good. No lemon or lime available for G&T but 'beer good' too. Room was not good. It has clearly been very nice but it isn't any more. The facilities are OK, but the room and the shower room both now really need a good 'deep clean' to reach acceptable standards. The visitors book shows comments from 2023 and 2024 that have not been addressed - 'noisy fan in bathroom' is still noisy, 'chipped paint doesn't look nice neither does bathroom damp on walls', there's problem with supply of towels (no bath towel available when we visited), 'lots of cobwebs' (28/08/2024), and 'could do with more staff'. Just two young men ran the business during our stay - one did all the cooking, the other did all front-of-house' jobs. They are both friendly and very hard-working. If you decide to stay please note that rooms are only serviced on request (place a hanger in window to alert staff). I would certainly eat and drink here, but I wouldn't stay again.

We stayed for one day midweek.Check-in was easy,we were shown to our room. Comfortable bed in a quiet room. Bad bits - bathroom not terribly clean,no BBC on tv.,only ITV and Channel 4.No one visible for checkout. Food good and served quickly.Breakfast very good.General lack of care and enthusiasm about their customers.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay with wonderful rooms and the adjoining pub has a perfect atmosphere with a full on menu, including vegan options.
